Are knees high boots out of fashion?

I have 3 practically new pairs.. just wondering are knee high boots a complete fashion faux pas with dresses and jeans?

In this week's Style supplement they say knee highs are coming back again this A/W. They tend to go round in circles; in another few years otk boots will show themselves again.
