How many pairs of shoes and boots do you own?

Rudgie47 · 03/09/2018 18:43

After another forced big clearout, I'm left with around 20 pairs of trainers, 4 pairs of walking boots, 1 pair of Chelsea boots, 2 pairs of birkies, 1 pair of flip flops.
This year I must have given away over 20 pairs of shoes/boots that had seen better days and around 40 bags as well ranging from handbags, backpacks, shoulder bags and shopping bags etc.
Just asking out of interest is anyone else on here bad for buying footwear?

2 trainers, 2 ballet flats, 2 flip flops, 1 sandals, 3 ankle boots and 1 knee boots. Mainly wear one of the trainers, the sandals or any of the ankle boots. I also have about 10 pairs of heels I never wear but remind me of my past life pre-kids Grin Handbag wise I have a baby change bag and a tiny cross body one for if I ever leave the house without small children.

On the other hand, at last count, I had around 30 pairs of pyjamas Blush

I have recently been trying to buy more shoes as I've usually only bought one pair of shoes or boots a year and worn them out too quickly!

Currently
1 pair of Converse
2 pairs ankle boots
2 x pairs of brogues
2 x pairs of sandals

Really struggle to find shoes I like and that are also comfortable and affordable!

Only have one handbag at a time too.

Perfume on the other hand.....Blush

ChishandFips33 · 03/09/2018 19:16

Over 70 pairs 🙈 - from wellies, knee boots to sandals - bought over many years though and many were extremely cheap!

I have PF and buy several of the same shoe (in different colours if I can) when I find something comfortable.

Also have about 10 pairs of insoles as I'm terrified they'll stop making them!

Not so many handbags - about 10 of those that are used regularly and no designer brands (other than Fossil)

MaryBoBary · 03/09/2018 19:18

2 trainers, 1 flip flops, 1 sandals, 1 heels and 1 pair of wellies.

Job done.

neversleepagain · 03/09/2018 19:20

KateMcD451 · 03/09/2018 19:26

I have 10 pairs of trainers (Vans, Converse etc.)
2 pairs of running/gym shoes, a pair of hiking shoes, 9 pairs of boots, heeled and flat, 5 pairs of flipflops, 9 pairs of flats, 5 flat sandals, 5 pairs of heels, 1 pair of wellies (I definitely don't have enough smart shoes but I'm definitely a trainer girl)

Hellywelly10 · 03/09/2018 19:29

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/09/2018 19:33

8 pairs of ankle boots (oops)
2 pairs ballet shoes

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 03/09/2018 19:33

2 x ankle boots
2 x brogues
1 x DMs
2 x wedge sandles
2 x flat sandals
2 x birkenstocks (1 needs binning!)

Oliversmumsarmy · 03/09/2018 19:34

1 pair of trainers, 1 pair of work boots and a pair of flip flops.

All my clothing fits in one large drawer.

Can you tell I hate shopping as nothing looks good on me and I never go anywhere anyway

Nacreous · 03/09/2018 19:37

1x walking boots
1x wellies
3x flip flops
3x sandals
3x trainers
1x converse
1x work boots
2x high heeled ankle boots
4x knee boots
5x court shoes
5x closed top high heels

CakeNinja · 03/09/2018 19:39

Around 80 pairs of shoes/boots and trainers I think (never counted!).
Shoes are a mix of heels and flats for work, trainers are for the gym and then I have a couple of pairs for running and a couple of cleats for cycling.
Rarely wear tall boots but have maybe 4 pairs, and some lovely warm wellies. I tend to wear ankle boots more than any other style.

CaseStudyResearch · 03/09/2018 22:17

3 x trainers
1 x black suede over the knee boots
1 x black leather boots
1 x black ankle boots
1 x brown lace up boots (new, currently deciding whether to keep)
1 x leopard print flats
1 x tan sandals
1 x black sandals
1 x jewelled mules
1 x flip flops

So a total of 12 pairs. Not too bad. I've got some black work pumps that are in the throw-out pile, and 3 more pairs to sell on eBay. Have just ordered a possible replacement leopard pair (the first pair are dying a death) and some nude ballet flats from Zara. So potentially 14 by the end of the week.

CaseStudyResearch · 03/09/2018 22:18

Ahh I forgot the UGGs, but seeing as they are slippers, they don't really count...do they?!

Oly5 · 03/09/2018 22:22

At least 30 sets of sandals and flip flops.. how do you all cope with so few?
Then about 10 pairs of ballet flats, four pairs of winter boots.
No longer really wear high heels so have got that down to about 10 pairs

PutANiceFloorIn · 03/09/2018 22:35

3 calf high boots
3 ankle boots
3 shoes
3 sandals
1 walking boots
1 trainers
That's quite a lot isn't it.

PeterIanStaker · 03/09/2018 22:39

30-40 as an estimate. I work for a footwear company though Smile

CountFosco · 03/09/2018 22:46

LOL @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie and your 30 pairs of shoes.

I adore shoes and have just shy of 40 pairs (not including the pairs that are in the charity shop pile). Currently trying to resist these from Clarks and these from Rogue Matilda.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 03/09/2018 22:47

2 x knee boots - one black, one brown
4 x ankle boots - blue, grey, brown flat, brown high heeled.
1 x trainers
2 x fitflops
1 x evening sandals
1 x court shoes

I think this is about right - all occasions covered.

CountFosco · 03/09/2018 22:51

Oh, and by my theory you need as a minimum for each season (assuming 3 seasons since you can wear similar in w
Spring and summer):
2xshoes for work
2xcasual shoes
Going out shoes
So that's 15 pairs before you start thinking about specialist stuff like wellies or walking boots or running shoes

LightastheBreeze · 03/09/2018 22:51

Probably 50-60 pairs of shoes, boots, sandals, slippers

OrchidInTheSun · 03/09/2018 22:53

No idea. I'd guess about 50, possibly more Blush

To be fair, I've had some for years
