Barbour waxed jackets

Are they worth the money? Will they go with dresses, tights and boots in winter (literally all I wear). Saw a woman wearing one a floral lined was jacket which looked lovely as it was quite worn in, I'm guessing it was Barbour but I didn't notice a logo. On the website they look stiff in the photos, do they take a lot of wearing in? Thanks all

You’ve reminded me to get mine out to wax them!

I have two- a heavy duty parka and the classic shaped navy. Absolutely love them- the parka is really cosy in cold weather and looks a bit “cooler” than the classics.

The classic one is very versatile as I bought the fleece liner that zips in to make it warmer in winter, so it can be either a rain jacket or proper winter coat.

Both are fantastic quality and will last for years if maintained properly. Plenty of pockets too!

Old people wear them..over 70

See I don't care if they are in fashion or not. I think the international motorbike range as cool as :)

I'm not bothered about fashion (would never wear a cold shoulder top and they were everywhere). This woman was the first person I've seen wearing one.

If you want some thing that lasts and keeps it's value buy a Belstaff.

A lot to pay out but last for ever and if you get fed up sell it on.

The quality is SO much better than Barbour

It was the floral lining that caught me, so I think I'm sold on the Barbour (and £250 is more than I would usually spend on a jacket).
