bought a pair from TKMaxx on the weekend, american ones that sit low on the hips but not too low. and not too short that show too much leg
I won't wear them out and about tho, they are purely for the garden and house!

hana · 03/06/2007 20:11

sorry, that wasn't much help, don't know brand, didn't recognise it

DrNortherner · 03/06/2007 20:12

CountTo10 · 03/06/2007 23:03

i was very anti shorts buuuuuuut got a very lovely pair in Asda for £6 that fit really well but aren't spray on, are really comfy and also do not disappear up my bum, they come down enough along my leg so that I feel I am wearing something!!!! So an all round good purchase!!!

~I do love my a line skirts, need to get some more as I wear an old gap one too much
am about to spash out on a fat face skirt when I can get itno richmond later this week .....maybe I'll chekc out their shorts too

electra · 04/06/2007 11:00

Gap are a safe bet.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 04/06/2007 11:16

Shorts are for holidays or in the garden/on the beach. I would never contemplate wearing them around town or in public generally. As for the 'de rigeur' Northern way of shorts and heels, nothing is more guaranteed to make you look cheap (even Scarlett Johanssen looked trashy).
If you must bare leg in public, try Fat Face's cropped trousers which end an inch or two below the knee. Nice and Casual, cool and summery but not shorty shorts.
Agree with Sophable that the Gap ones with the turnup are lovely, quite pricey though. Aren't they about 30 quid? I have a pair of Tommy Hilfiger's bought in the USA for $30 which look very similar. I am going to the US in a few weeks, and will stock up amply whilst I'm there ($2 exchange rate - get in!)

Dogsby · 04/06/2007 11:17
