Short haircuts for the fat of face.

Help I am clueless about style and have a face that has been described as looking like Peter Kay the time he dressed as a woman. I really want to get my hair cut short as I just hate hair and find it a pain. I also currently have it tied up constantly for work and becaise of the heat so was looking for a short haircut that would look right on a chubbier face. Any ideas at all would be great.

I'm fat. About 17 stone.

I get my haircut however I want. It's currently pixie.

A haircut isn't going to hide the extra 7 stone of fat I have so I just go for convenience over fashion.

Whatever size/shape head you have you need to find a good hairdresser and show him/her photos of what style you have in mind. He/she will than suggest what best suits. Suggest you take photos of Judi Dench, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jo Brand and the newsreader Kate Silverton, who all rock short hair. I have had short hair most of my adult life and love the convenience, whilst I of course look superb . HTH

I love jamie Lee Curtis' hair but I don't think it will suit my face shape. I love Jo Brand's unruly look. I'm 35 so not sure those kind of cuts would age me badly or not. I just really miss the ease of short hair. When mine was short it was mote bo from orange is the new black.

This was the look I had. It wasn't very me but I loved it at the same time.

I have a very round face,and most of the women in my family are "big" we all have short hair. I have a shaved pixie,. Pinterest is great for inspiration. My DM and aunt have short hair, very different styles but both tend to have pointed side burns or shaped around the face, seems to slim their faces.

So sorry! I don't watch that show.

I know it isn't him that's the woman from orange is the new black. This is what I was told i look like by my delightful ex.

I think I'm going to go for it and have the chop. It will grow back any way if I don't like it.

If female Peter Kay is really how you look (and not just the opinion of a shitty ex) then it can only get better

I really like that last picture it's lovely.

It’s long in the parting and very short back and sides. I had this and loved it, for years. Washed it daily and combed it through. That was it!

Def go with longer on top/longer sideburns to avoid the Pat Butcher look

A plus size colleague used to have short hair - it was amazing how many ways she could style it and the colours were fab! Literally something different every day
It was slightly longer and her curled quiff was fab

I love the headscarf look too but am so not brave enough to carry this off

I did have my hair like this a few years ago but I was much thinner back then and I think shorter may be better as that longer side was a bit annoying

Just had to Google Ruth Davidson I'm useless with names. I like her hair alot. I really should stop worrying so much what others will think as I know my mum will say "urgh you look butch again"
