Short haircuts for the fat of face.

Help I am clueless about style and have a face that has been described as looking like Peter Kay the time he dressed as a woman. I really want to get my hair cut short as I just hate hair and find it a pain. I also currently have it tied up constantly for work and becaise of the heat so was looking for a short haircut that would look right on a chubbier face. Any ideas at all would be great.

They do have an amazing jaw line don't they. I don't have that either. Maybe I should just lose weight to get my face shape back

Terrible pic sorry, but this is my hair grown out slightly. Similar to what you had but shorter, and it grows out really well. My face is round with no real jawline.


I went to the hairdresser with this pic, my hair is actually shorter than this on the side and I can tuck it behind my ear if I want to. I think its a flattering and versatile style and doesn't need much styling, which is good because I am very lazy busy in the mornings

I am also fat of face (and of body) and recently went for a short cut and I love it. Looks way more fresh and polished, so easy to look after. If you don't like it, sure it will grow back.

Agree Yukon Kelly Osbourne looks great . I have longer hair on the top, a bit like On Topof has posted but not quite as long. It helps soften the look and avoids it veering towards the butch.

I'd go for longer lengths on top for versatility and a less butch look.

Reading with interest - also have a big/fat face and short hair. I've loved it up to now, but when its too short it does also look a tad butch, and my fine hair has now started to thin out slightly bit in a post-menopausal kind of way, which really isn't helping.

I think I need something a bit longer on top , but still short overall, and some of the ideas above have given me hope that this might be possible!

Product Kokoloco. I have short hair, longer layers through the top like that.

Blow dry roughly with just your hands, pushing it forwards and side to side so you get it all dry, and then rub some wax through. Push hair about till it's where you like it and then give it a spray of hairspray. Done. Stays put all day.

So I took the plunge and got all 10inches of hair cut off and I love it. Thanks for your help everyone. Excuse the wet hair in this picture but just thought I'd show you a vague idea of what I got.

Donthugme good for you. Would be good to see your hair dry though! Just came on to say, I can see some amazing cheekbones sticking out of the side of the hearts. I think you have great bone structure and maybe just had a dick of a boyfriend that said the PK comment.
