@soyo the dress is great, a keeper I'd say. I like the skirt - would go with a pale blue t slub t shirt (v neck) and some silver flip flops or sandals. To me it says summer - not sure personally how versatile it would be in cooler months. Also would look good with denim jacket actually.
The jumper is also lovely - suits you.

SoyYo · 11/08/2018 16:07

Thanks Ella I like the dress too, not meant to be maxi length but it works at that length too and I love the thin fabric.
On the jumper I ❤️ so much I’ve spotted a M and reordered I think it may be better slightly smaller so will decide on receipt which size to keep (too late for P.O. returns today anyway and the M will arrive Monday)
Still sitting on the fence with skirt, I would only wear it for work. I like it and don’t own a pleated skirt just finding it difficult to imagine how to style it to make it office suitable...I know! The Fitzgerald jacket of course!!
It’s a keeper now I’ve figured that out i think Confused

Talisin · 11/08/2018 16:26

@SoyYo I love that skirt but have always avoided because I simply can’t think how to style it, it doesn’t even look quite right on the model. If you have things that work with it then absolutely keep it - it’s such a stand out piece. Love the Jamie dress on you, definitely keep that!

SoyYo · 11/08/2018 16:33

Cheers Talisin first world problems eh Wink
I’ll try it with the Fitzgerald jacket as it’s really lovely and unusual. I’d only wear for work and with current ankle woes I won’t be back in Paris till late Sept now but it would be okay into autumn with a light jumper and the the Fitzgerald navy jacket...dunno really. I think I have cabin fever already at the prospect of 4 weeks in a row @home 😱. I’ll mull it over.
It’s also such a pain to try things on with the darned boot, nothing looks quite right with it on Grin

ilovecherries · 11/08/2018 16:36

I love the skirt in theory, in practice thought all the things you’ve said, so no help at all! You suit it and with maybe the Fitzgerald jacket would work in the ‘shoulder’ seasons? I have the haze maxi, have worn it loads, it washed well. I’d say a keeper. The jumper is on the loose side, but that’s how I like my jumpers.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/08/2018 16:36

I saw someone wearing it with a navy top and it looked great. I think you could get away with it like that in early Autumn. Not sure it would look quite right in the dead of winter but I REALLY like it. I think its a beautiful cut.
I wore my milkmaid top the other day. My mum thought it looked beautiful and unusual. Tbh, I think it looks better looser. I don't mind the hand wash as I never handwash anything. Its only one thing for a quick dip in and out to wash. I kept the 12. I also had my lovely black cut work top on yesterday. Getting my wear out of these before the sun packs up for summer!!!
I think I will be at odds with AW and the weather I don't see the point in spending money on things atm if I cant wear them right now so going to be cautious about what I purchase on Tuesday and unless its one of those things that may sell out, I am going to reserve my spends for things I can wear currently or in the very near future. I think the animal print leggings are one thing that would work and the zebra skirt.

ilovecherries · 11/08/2018 16:38

Didn’t realise there was a page I hadn’t read when I posted. It’s all been said Grin. I haven’t returned the milkmaid yet, but neither has she found her way onto a hangar...

ilovecherries · 11/08/2018 16:38

Hanger.

ilovecherries · 11/08/2018 16:44

I’m not buying any autum stuff (unless amazing discount), till I finish all my hot holidays in October.

soy - random question. How do I buy double cream in a Spanish supermarket? Can’t find a translation for it, and nothing I recognise on the shelves. Google has not been my friend with this! Not able to drink milk but like a splash of cream in my coffee.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/08/2018 16:46

Soyo, I got a gorgeous pleated skirt from next for a fraction of the price. Its lovely. I will see if I can screen shot it. Its stripey and a lot nicer in real life. The stripes do something when you photograph it.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/08/2018 16:47

Next pleat skirt.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/08/2018 16:48

Its great with black. I haven't worn it as I am saving it for work.

SoyYo · 11/08/2018 16:54

Yes thanks never and cherries for your thoughts.
Definitely not a winter skirt but was thinking a navy jumper too with the navy Fitzgerald and I have many shoes/sandals I can throw at it. Would be very useful early spring too. Tres chic and it does feel nice, good lining and medium weight. I’ll sleep on it and decide Monday whether to keep.

Glad the milkmaid top got DM’s thumbs up never and that you got to wear it already! Maybe the 10 wasn’t right for the style and the reason it didn’t “sit” right on me but I’ll not hunt for another one as I’ve been super naughty this sale and my head is still full of summer with hols still ahead in Sept. Will do my best to resist AW till there’s an offer on.

Jamie t shirt dress was ooo for a long time and glad I wasn’t deluding myself it looked okay. I think it’ll get lots of wear now and in my hols.

The jumper is fabulous and keeping but will try the M since it came back into stock just to be 100% sure.

So I really am off to watch The Crown on Netflix. DH flat refuses to watch anything like that with me and I never have time to indulge but had heard a lot about it and will help rest the foot.
Chat again later

whiskyremorse · 11/08/2018 16:56

Never here's a photo of the loafers as requested. I don't think that they look too pointed but I only have size 4 doll feet!

SoyYo · 11/08/2018 16:56

Wow never that is lovely! More to ponder on pleated skirts! Grin

cherries ask for “Nata”

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2018 16:58

I'm back from my holiday..had a great time, but have put on a fair bit of weight..too much wine, bread and crisps! My clothes are all feeling tight.

Never - love that skirt, and I was actually coming on to post a pic of the Next pleated skirt I bought too based on a post you made last week!

ilovecherries · 11/08/2018 17:04

Thank you, Soy. I do remember seeing nata in the chiller last year, but somehow convinced myself it was infant formula. I think I did one of those ‘faux friend’ language things and decided nata - natal - baby. I never really got over the horror on the faces of my Spanish hosts when I was an au pair and cheerfully told them I was a little bit pregnant, so I was wary. Mama had me at the pharmacy before I could blink.

SoyYo · 11/08/2018 17:04

cherries also if you only want Nata for coffee some larger supermarkets stock the Dutch baby pots of “koffiemelk” which is like evaporated milk and lovely with coffee. They come in tiny single portion long life pots.
I know this because we lived in NL for a few years and most of our visiting Brit friends loved it. You can buy in Spanish supermarkets too.

I don’t like milk or cream (exception is bechamel sauce) but I think above will both be perfect with your café ☕️

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2018 17:06

I'm going to sell my Marissa top.

I don't think it suits me particularly and I didn't wear it once on holiday.

One of my stupid 'compulsion' buys!

SoyYo · 11/08/2018 17:08

🤣🤣🤣 cherries embarazada and embarrassed Grin easy mistake to make! LOL LOL!

dave Welcome back! Beautiful pleated skirt! Looks more and more like I’ll be returning Hush then Wink

Wonders off to peruse Next...

Ellapaella · 11/08/2018 17:11

Dave - skirts looks fab. I've put my floral cropped trousers on eBay. Worn them twice since I got them and too scared to wash in case they shrink.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/08/2018 17:13

That's gorgeous in real life Dave. Its amazing how things like that look so much better in real life. Very tempted and looks fantastic with your trainers. Think I am going to say to hell with work. Going to put mine on casual like you!

ilovecherries · 11/08/2018 17:14

That was it, soy. I was only 17 and Mama felt very responsible for me!

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2018 17:15

Annoying isn't it ella!

I snagged the lace bit around the bottom on my son's bedroom door the first day I wore it so it isn't even in perfect condition to sell!

I might sell the dress too.

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2018 17:15

Thanks never

I seriously do not need any more skirts, but when you posted your one up the other day I just had to go and have a look....
