Right, help me choose. I think probably the red is a better coat overall. It’s longer, has proper storm flaps on the pockets, which are deep, has a zipped inside pocket AND a detachable hood. For all practical reasons I should keep it. BUT...the citron is a lovely colour, the fabric is less rustly, I like the length better (even though shorter isn’t sensible in the wet).

And laska, does your taping show through like this on the chest?

I like the red the best on you cherries. The citron is nice too but the red wins it for me.

I'm going to go with red. I think it's a good colour on you and as I have a Kellifray I know exactly how practical it is in the rain! It covers your thighs and no one wants wet thighs..

Well having seen them both in the flesh I'd still go for the Citron. .I liked the fact that it wasnt a 'normal 'colour and the long parka style, i thought was less traditional looking. The only disadvantage to it I could see was that the red had a two way zip and it didnt , but then it was perfectly sit down-able in. I never take the hoods off anyway so that wouldn't bother me, whats the point of a mac without a hood?

The Kellifray was heavier ( and more rustly) butI wasnt looking for a heavyweight coat as just add a leyer underneath if i want. I also thought it was much more restricting on me, ( so much so in fact it was too tight on the bust ) . what size is yours cherries? mine was a 12

They are both 12s. Don’t read anything into lack of smiling!

weird then that mine didn't fit around bust i'm a 36E and you are a 32 k did you say?.It must be my rib cage that did it !

The red is much neater (tighter!) on the bust, the green has more room. DD says the green. She think the red is a traditional coat (so interesting you used the same word) which a younger woman can look stylish in, but she thinks for me it’s a ‘safe’ looking choice.

And yes, Laska, my rib cage isn’t huge. My boobs make me an hourglass, but my skeleton is definitely pear shaped.

Never, I don’t know, I’m frozen into indecision. I keep saying to myself ‘it’s a half price coat, it doesn’t matter, they are both nice, just choose already!’ I’m hopeless, it was easier when all my clothes came from the men’s section of Mountain Warehouse. (although less fun! Cheaper though, I never felt a desire to buy half the catalogue ;))

Why don't you keep them both? Then you can ring the changes?

If they were cheaper than full price and you can afford it, why not?

If you eventually wear one more than the other and get fed up with it, sell it on ebay!!!

Well it finally got abit chilly down here so I put the pink sweatshirt on with the stripes and it feels like one of those outfits that you can pop to the shops in for wine then it’s fine if you can’t be bothered to get changed for bed!!!!

Haha, do I detect a teensy wee bit of enabling . I was actually starting to think that but it seemed terribly profligate. But then I DO live between two of the wettest parts of the U.K...

I have taken the Ts out of the drawer again and put hem back in box.. Am going to decide to keep or not once I see Tuesdays new offer..
