I see people at christenings dresses up like they are going clubbing. Does this dress look ok?

from the back, it looks great, really suitable. as long as its not split to the navel at the front, perfect!

Chi Chi I mean. Don’t know what website your photo is from

polyhymnia · 02/08/2018 23:09

Nice but on the verge of being OTT compared to the dresses I’ve seen on mums on similar occasions. If you go for it, I personally think it would be better for the occasion not styled ‘up’ too much - eg not with very high tottering heels.

Racecardriver · 02/08/2018 23:11

I see absolutely nothing to fund exception with. Lovely dress.

FortyFacedFuckers · 02/08/2018 23:15

I LOVE that dress!

MadMaryBoddington · 03/08/2018 09:43

Oh that’s gorgeous. I want to see the front.

Elledorado · 03/08/2018 10:28

Gorgeous but very dressy for a christening. I would feel over-dressed

MadMaryBoddington · 03/08/2018 10:44

I don’t think it’s overdressed for the mother of the baby being christened. People generally dress up for christenings don’t they? I haven’t been to one for years, mind.

RoseWhiteTips · 03/08/2018 10:46

I think it’s FAR too much. The Kate Middleton style is far more appropriate.

GladAllOver · 03/08/2018 10:51

It's a lovely dress. Just remember that the Christening is about the child, not the mother. So you shouldn't be attracting too much attention.

lornathewizzard · 03/08/2018 10:56

It is lovely. But I would also say overdressed for a christening. Just in a different way to the ones who look like they're going clubbing

peachypetite · 03/08/2018 10:59

Personally I wouldn't. It's a nice dress but OTT for Christening based on recent ones I've been to.

aperolspritzplease · 03/08/2018 11:19

It's lovely but perhaps too dressy imo.
