I wouldn't go if I thought she fancied my husband.

lulumama · 29/05/2007 21:29

a very sharp knife somewhere about my person

just make sure you spill red wine down her!

Malaleche · 29/05/2007 21:29

a badge saying 'keep your fecking hands off my husband' ?

colditz · 29/05/2007 21:30

My wedding ring, and he would wear my arm around his waist.

weebleswobble · 29/05/2007 21:30

Tell him she used to be a man.

Slubberdegullion · 29/05/2007 21:30

I would wear anything you feel fabulous (but warm) in. I would just make sure you gave DH rather fabulous oral sex 30mins before you went to the party.

Malaleche · 29/05/2007 21:31

oh, and make sure you have a quickie with your DH in the downstairs loo during the barbie

oh x posted with slubber!

ThomCat · 29/05/2007 21:32

I wouldn't go. Why are you putting ypurself through this?

If you have to go wear what you feel good in and let your personality do the talking. don't drink too much and smile, a lot, and keep him close at all tiems without being clingy.

Personally i think you need to find a reson that neither of you cn go as I think you'll be on edge and uncomfortable all day and who needs that.

twinniemum · 29/05/2007 21:43

its a work thing so got to go,plus want to meet her properly. i'm not saying he would do anything, but want to feel good about myself and maybe encourage others to look and h to notice?! i know i'm losing it aren't i??
cant wear short skirts cause have awful varicose veins, size 12 so not huge but all these years after having dt still have mummy tummy. also cant afford to go and buy anything.

right well find something that covers the veins and hides the tummy but enhances the good bits. Something low cut maybe, but not tatry. Wear good accessories. Go to Pimark and buy something that flatters your shape but is not expenive. Do you have a little black wrap dress?
What size are you?

ThomCat · 29/05/2007 21:47

Great minds Fio

Malaleche · 29/05/2007 21:47

ok, no more silly jokes, how about a good wash and blow dry at a cheap old ladies hairdressers (since you say you cant afford to buy any new clothes) and some nice make-up? and maybe a top that emphasises your tits but not the tummy? and make sure you circulate and smile and chat to lots of different people, especially the women...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/05/2007 21:49

well, no knickers (and mention in passing to DH) if you want to keep your DH's mind occupied during the bbq

ThomCat · 29/05/2007 21:52

Tight jeans alow cut top sound fab, you could buy some new accessories from Primark and some fab but cheap shades (primark again £2), and paint your nails, do your makeup extra carefully and all that jazz but the best thing you can wear is a massive smile

twinniemum · 29/05/2007 21:53

pp weekend was ok until a couple of problems on monday, ok today (although he's had to stay at work tonight)i taing each day as it comes...

OP posts:
