Lelli Kelly shoes

jenk1 · 26/05/2007 21:38

that advert with the theme tune, everytime it comes on dd goes want that want that, she,s only 3 but she keeps sayin lelli kelly.

so i looked them up and they are very pricey, apparantly you get things like make up with them.
are there any cheaper alternatives, i want to get dd some nice sparkly alternative shoes cos she has CP and has to wear boots but i want to get her something to wear even if its just around the house cos she is always looking at other girls shoes.
the lelli kelly ones are very appealing cos they are colourful and glittery/sparkly and i havent seen anything like them before.

TIA

could you buy some cheap converse style boots and attack them with glitter glue, glue gun and sequins/jewels etc? Would have the same effect for much less money?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/05/2007 21:41

oh yes, I know the ones

DD keeps saying she wants them too (damn channel 5 and their adverts).

Dont know, bought some plain but very sparkly ballerina shoes from H & M kids today for £4.99!!!

Next often have sparkly girls sandals.

NomDePlume · 26/05/2007 21:42

I'd get clarks doodles (£12 a pair), pretty patterns, loads to choose from and get a glitter pen things as panda suggests.

NomDePlume · 26/05/2007 21:42

doodles can go in the washing machine too.

hippocampus · 26/05/2007 21:42

Next do little baseball boots, not as sparkly, but similar to the Lelli Kelly ones. Panda's idea is fab!

lisad123 · 26/05/2007 21:43

God that song drives me mad grrrr

PandaG · 26/05/2007 21:45

DS sings loudly - Lelli Kelly the STUPID shoes oh yeah! He gets annoyed at hte marketing - the only talk abot he make up Mum, and not the shoe...

oliveoil · 26/05/2007 21:46

Lelli Kelly ones are lovely though

but £36 which is a huge rip off

and they split after a week so we took them back

dd1 was distraught, she had taken them to bed for a week and placed them near her light

dd2 was going to get some lovely Doodle type ones - think they were Start Rite - £12 with horses heads on and manes, fab (but not her size)

collision · 26/05/2007 21:46

my 5yr old ds wants some!

Beauregard · 26/05/2007 21:47

"Lelli kelli balh,blah,blah,blah ,blah"
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I swear the pitch of that song gets bloody higher each time it's aired.

my dd1 said she wanted some..........."For the sunglasses lipbalm mommy"
FFS

Be strong jenk don't let them get to you

NomDePlume · 26/05/2007 21:47

DD has some gorgeous Doodles ankle boots. They are fab, I wish they sold Doodles styles all year round

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/05/2007 21:48

here

oliveoil · 26/05/2007 21:49

giddy up!

NomDePlume · 26/05/2007 21:49

i find next kids shoes very narrow fitting though. Far too narrow for DD

sauce · 26/05/2007 21:49

omg, my dd wants these desperately! What are they? She keeps goiing about lelli kelly and I keep saying, "oh right. put it on your list". She saw it on tv, of course.

missgriss · 26/05/2007 21:50

Lelli Kellis are awful!!! DD is only 13 months so I hope they are a thing of the past by the time she is old enough to take interest in adverts

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/05/2007 21:53

tried ebay?

jenk1 · 26/05/2007 21:53

brilliant ideas thanks
i love the look of the start rite shoes, are they part of clarkes?
as for the make up you can buy that seperately on ebay!!!!!

oliveoil · 26/05/2007 21:57

dd1's were these from that Ebay link

Hideehi · 27/05/2007 00:21

Sorry I love em wish they came in my size

louii · 27/05/2007 00:41

Dunnes Stores have a rip off version that are just as good and a fraction of the cost. Wee ones wont know the difference

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 28/05/2007 12:01

Brantano have some very pink, glittery ballet pump style shoes that dd was begging for yesterday.

Nbg · 28/05/2007 12:07

My dd really wanted some of the canvas shoes so I took her to clarks and got her some doodles which have a small flower on the front with about 4 sequins as opposed to 4 million.

But the arsing lelli kelli company have now got a new advert with some mule type shoes on.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I get an un-nerving and overwhelming urge to burn any lelli kelli stand I see.

twinsetandpearls · 29/05/2007 17:12

dd really wants some I may look on ebay.

UnquietDad · 29/05/2007 17:23

Hooray for Panda's DS. I will sing "Lelli Kelli the STUPID SHOES" every time that teeth-gratingly annoying ad comes on Milkshake now!
