that advert with the theme tune, everytime it comes on dd goes want that want that, she,s only 3 but she keeps sayin lelli kelly.

so i looked them up and they are very pricey, apparantly you get things like make up with them.
are there any cheaper alternatives, i want to get dd some nice sparkly alternative shoes cos she has CP and has to wear boots but i want to get her something to wear even if its just around the house cos she is always looking at other girls shoes.
the lelli kelly ones are very appealing cos they are colourful and glittery/sparkly and i havent seen anything like them before.

TIA

DS merrily sings along when the ad comes on.

The advert is very annoying! Can't believe they charge over £30 for a pair of canvas shoes!!

I would probably buy them if they didn't have a huge 'Lelli Kelly' logo on them

but as they do they are always going to remind me of disgustingly crass brand values - overmade up little girls - that make me want to scream 'naff and common' in my loudest voice

disgusting foul things destroyed by marketing drive

I would shoot myself before buying BabyDragon any

DD has some Lelli Kelly shoes, this eyar and last. She stays in shoes for a long time luckily - her feet don't seem to grow much. I like them as they are leather throughout, and DD has very hot, sweaty feet - so leather inners is pretty important. Cheaper plastic type ones would be a waste of money for her as she wouldn't be able to wear them. To be fair, her Lelli Kelly boots were no dearer, and infact cheaper, than other boots that were also leather inside and out. And for us the Lelli Kelly stuff have worn very well.

You do get make up with them - it's nothing more than a bit of lip gloss though, and DD gets bored with that after the first day anyway.

Each to their own. DD loves hers. She's 5yo and if she can't wear pink and glittery now then when can she?!

Never, Hula, NEVER!

LOL. DD is a very independent little girl, who has loved anything pink and gliottery since being very tiny. Despite her mum - me - not being particularly girly at all, and despite going to nursery from an early age will full access to all types of toys and influences. It's just her personality - she is so girly girly (in a pink, pretty and sparkly way) and would got up the wall if forced to wear something more "boyish". She loves it, so I indulge
