Hello, I’m considering getting the Tabitha maxi dress, which is in the sale. Does anyone have it and like/loathe it? I’m 14 weeks pregnant so hoping it might have room for growth. Also, is there a free delivery code anywhere?

DavetheCat2001 · 26/06/2018 16:41

I've just ordered the Grecian top in the Brushstroke pattern.

dontcallmelen · 26/06/2018 19:08

You all look fab in the iris dress pics.
Well I have had to return the star jeans, although lovely & soft & a really nice colour, they are really big on the waist, I could get both my arms down the back😢 am truly gutted as I so wanted a pair, also sent the lavender jumper back, it’s a very odd shape & the mint velvet lavender jumper is a lot nicer & is 29.00 in the sale.
I am keeping the rose/beaded crepe top, as it’s really pretty hangs well & it’s a bit loose but not swampy big, really upset about the jeans though.

Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 19:44

theonly I really like the dress. Lovely pattern and colours.
These are the jeans I ordered. So the pale star jeans are a lovely colour and beautiful soft denim but a strange shape.. look nothing like they do on the model. Just a straight leg jean really.
The embroidered stripe ones are again great quality denim but I’m too tall for them and they just don’t look right at all.
Both going back. I’m deliberating ordering the Mia dress.. looks lovely on never

I love both jeans on you. I really like the star jeans!

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 20:10

Talk me into keeping them! I want to love them.^^ I do love the colour and they are so soft but I'm not convinced.. if I didn't love my star frayed jeans so much I'd probably love these a lot more. I guess for £40 they are a decent pair of jeans..
I'll have a try on with a few more things tomorrow and decide for sure.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2018 20:14

I read on the reviews that someone made the comment like you did about them being straight jeans. Maybe you need to size up to get the baggy look. Tbh, I really like them on you. I love the colour and the shape looks great on you. They don't look like bf jeans but what does that matter?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2018 20:16

If they have lycra they may get baggier with wear. I had last seasons bf jeans and they were a 10. They were absolutely massive in a 12. They had a bf shape even in the 10. I would be tempted by them if I didn't have a whole drawer full of jeans!

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 20:32

They definitely have stretch. I sized down to an 8 because of the reviews, I think a baggier leg would be preferable but if I'd got a 10 the waist would have been huge. These are an 8 and the waist is just right if not a little loose.
I'll sit on them a few days and decide. They are very similar to my marks and Spencer's ones that are the same colour but they are a stiff denim and not so comfy as these.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2018 20:34

Do they roll up Ella? I cant really tell by the picture.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2018 20:35

I also love the colour of the other jeans. They don't look really short but you know what feels right. They are meant to be cropped though but maybe you feel they are too cropped?

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 20:43

The star ones are rolled up a bit yes.
I really like the other ones and I think if I was just a tiny bit shorter they'd be keepers. You can't really tell in the pics but they are halfway up my shin.

Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 20:45

It's because my lower leg is disproportionately shorter than the top part, I think it gives an odd silhouette to my leg.

DavetheCat2001 · 26/06/2018 20:54

I think the embroidered stripe one's look really great on you ella. I'd definitely keep them!

I see what you mean about the other one's being a bit too short in the leg though.

SansaryaAgain · 26/06/2018 21:01

I ordered several things from Hush and am waiting for them to arrive. But I think I lost my mind in John Lewis on Sunday as I bought the S/S playsuit. I'm nearly 42, surely far too old for a playsuit!! Can't decide whether to keep it or not...

SansaryaAgain · 26/06/2018 21:02

Excuse the messy bathroom!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2018 21:11

Keep keep keep keep @sansary It looks amazing on you! Not too old. Just like shorts and a top. I am 50 and would wear it.

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 21:13

@SansaryaAgain that looks amazing on you! Keep it!

Ellapaella · 26/06/2018 21:13

Love the shoes too btw

SansaryaAgain · 26/06/2018 21:21

Ok I guess I'm keeping it then!

@Ellapaella I got the shoes at a Russell & Bromley sale about 9 years ago - back in the days before DS when I could afford R&B!

ilovecherries · 26/06/2018 21:22

It looks fantastic on you. Absolutely keep, just don’t call it a playsuit. Somehow that always makes me think of something seedy in a members only club! You look lovely in it.

ilovecherries · 26/06/2018 21:28

I’m on the train home. London was boiling but no one died at the sight of my bald head and the sunscreen recommended by Ella worked so no burning. One odd thing happened as a young man on tube offered me his seat and it took a second for me to realise my baldness was why. Decided in a nano second that no one should be made to feel awkward for doing something nice so thanked him nicely and gratefully sat down. But...I tried on a hat in Other Stories, looked in the mirror and staring back at me was Boy George :(. Which irrationally upset me.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2018 21:33

Oh Cherries Sad
Though your comparison to Boy George made me laugh openly. I hope I don't offend you.

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 26/06/2018 21:43

Nah, you don’t offend me. Smile You just can’t be precious about hair loss and wig wearing or you’d be constantly upset. And being open is much easier than trying to fly under the radar. Some women don’t even let partners or kids see them bald, I just couldn’t live like that. I sent a photo to DH asking him if it reminded him of anyone and he tentatively said ‘boy George? But it’s not you, it’s the hat’, bless him.
