Thanks cherries xx

DelaneyHasAUseForMe · 17/07/2018 08:13

Love the chambray skirt @Laska5772 - hadn't considered it before but will probably order it based on your photos Smile

I hope your dcat turns out to be okay too.

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 10:38

Back to work today and wearing Greek Widow dress (seemed appropriate....) Grin. Several people have commented they like it ( black Alanis dress fot those who werent here when we all bought it!).
Dpuss had blood test .hopefully results wont be too dreadful .. Confused

ilovecherries · 17/07/2018 14:06

So here is the chambray skirt. It’s a 14, and I certainly can’t go smaller, although every other pair of trousers or skirts I have from Hush are either a 10 or a 12. I think I probably won’t keep it - really not sure about the length (5’7), and DD roused herself from her sickbed enough to ask if I was planning to move to rural Pennsylvania. Hmm

Hee hee cherries channelling Armish (they wear them longer btw) . Im a bit biased to comment and prefer to think of it as a bit French . Why not try it with a striped T and see if you like it better. I like it on you anyway

ilovecherries · 17/07/2018 14:38

While it does have some apparent drawbacks, something is stopping me putting it right back in the box. I don’t have a lot of skirts, and I would quite like to make it work. Lovely think fabric, and I love the flat front and the pockets.

DavetheCat2001 · 17/07/2018 17:02

Hello chaps...can you remind me please if anyone has the leopard print maxi, and any thoughts on it/opinions etc?

ilovecherries · 17/07/2018 17:18

Mine is on its way! (Apparently). It’s been about 10 weeks since I ordered it.

DavetheCat2001 · 17/07/2018 17:56

Yes I know its been OOS for ages.

Just noticed today my size is randomly in stock and not sure if I should go for it...

Has anyone here actually got one already?

DavetheCat2001 · 17/07/2018 18:13

Buggerit..ordered one.

If it's not perfect I'll send it back.

Be good to see you in yours when you get it cherries

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 19:28

Ive got one dave a random one (return I suppose) I found in JL early in the season.. Dont have a photo and cant take one right now as I am going 'Unnaturally Blonde' at the mo Grin..I wore it recently to a friends 40th with the black M&S wide strap top a lot of us bought a while ago .... Its lovely

ilovecherries · 17/07/2018 20:37

A bit French certainly puts a different spin on it, Laska. It’s nice on you, I’m just wondering if I look a bit matronly in it. I’m also currently looking like a Trump off-shot. Friend convinced me that St Tropez gradual pre-shower tanner was the bees knees. I’m now orange.

DavetheCat2001 · 17/07/2018 20:42

Ah thanks Laska, I thought I recalled someone had one.

Glad you like it. Is it quite long?

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 20:49

Are you sure you couldn't size down Cherries? it may look better. when I ordered , I thought that if it was too big/ wide /flared it would make me look matronly .. (and I dont think it does on either of us TBH) Mines a 12 and in sure we must be the same size . I must be surely be bigger than you even .We now weigh the same and I'm 2in shorter .. my weight is on boobs and tum though - am not very hippy).

Have you got a breton-type top you could try it with ? but dont try a checked blouse and headscarf Grin

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 21:18

..Or you could try it like this even ... Ooh! La la.. ...Grin

.. I had to breathe in somewhat to get into that blouse - last time I wore it I was a size 10 I reckon !.. (but it did up!!)

Fuzzy photo because the mirror is a bit old and its getting dusk..

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 21:26

And you can see its a bit tight! ...need to lose more of that tum.

Dave its definitely too dark now to take a photo but I just checked it.. Its almost floor length on me (5'5) but I can wear my flat gold saltwaters with it and they just raise it up enough.

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 21:36

Yellow top and maxi skirt are going back.. I just dont love them enough ( and it looks like more vets bills coming ) Dpusscat's early test results show quite high blood sugar.... More tests Friday ..but possibly diabetes .. DPC ids now officially gone low carb! This means dumping the Felix and buying the most expensive food , (but if it works for humans.. who knows? and that would be better and ultimately much cheaper than twice daily insulin injections )

DavetheCat2001 · 17/07/2018 21:44

Love that skirt with blue top combo Laska..you're looking very trim, particularly seeing as you have just got back from holiday!

DavetheCat2001 · 17/07/2018 21:46

Doh...red top...my brain is scrambled.

In the middle of a 2 day hangover!

Laska5772 · 17/07/2018 21:54

Thanks Dave in the end I only put on about a pound or two on holiday and they've gone again now.
The Blue top is East ( charity shop find some years ago), the red top above (which they still do if any one fancies one,) is from Collectif.. I have it in black also ....Do love a bit of a 50s look -pedal pushers etc - sometimes for a bit of fun on a night out When I'm thin enough ...which happens sometimes . Ive lost this weight twice now and I'm determined this time I'm NOT putting it back on again.. Hmm

ilovecherries · 17/07/2018 22:50

I do have a 12 here as well, didn’t even take it out of the box as I tried the 14 first. I’ve commented before though that I seem to need (or just take out of habit!), bigger sizes than other people of the same weight. I’m always amazed on other threads when I see people saying they are a stone or two bigger than I was at my heaviest, and are wearing a 16 or 18, when I was in a MUCH bigger size.

ilovecherries · 17/07/2018 22:50

It certainly doesn’t look too small for you!

Luckylollies · 18/07/2018 06:51

Been quietly reading everyone’s posts as I’m trying to be good and not shop so much. But I couldn’t resist the new navy Liv dress. Just arrived and wanted to share pic and comments in case anyone else is considering it.

First thoughts: gorgeous dress, lovely material but a bit shiny for me. Fits on the small side - I’m 10-12 in Hush and I ordered a 10 which fits but as the material is shiny, I would’ve preferred a looser fit so I wish I had sized up. Here it is on me in a 10.

Keep or not keep? Should I exchange for a 12?? Does anyone else have this dress. It’s very pretty but probably a bit too dressy for my lifestyle.

DavetheCat2001 · 18/07/2018 08:09

I think the dress looks lovely on you.

Very glam indeed, and from the picture I think it looks like it fits perfectly.
