What do people think of brooches?

Are they very old-fashioned? I bought a plain grey t-shirt because I like the shape and have added a sparkly dragonfly brooch but really don’t know if I like the look. Please advise.

I just bought a jade peacock brooch to wear with a black dress/jacket combo for a funeral, to add a bit of colour and interest without being ott. I like them.

Yes to the brooch, but not on such a lightweight fabric, it’s just looks weird!

I love a brooch!

I have a few glitter lightening bolts, a scorpion, a crown and a crescent moon. They are all fabric/embroidered ones so no weight and the take a plain cashmere crew neck to a new level of cool/chic.

The cool/chic intersection is my style holy grail.

Having worn it for a day I can see that it is too heavy for the t-shirt and does pull a bit but I still like it. I’ll look for some fabric brooches.
