Friend just had baby girl (has an older boy).

Want to get her a pretty gift of shoes or clothes (not the basics) for the baby.

Any inspiration?

It's tricky, as buying clothes is such a personal choice.
I personally can't stand the frilly dress/pants/tights-type sets of clothes. They look very uncomfortable and the poor baby can't tell you that the dress is bunched up at the back or the tights are itchy. And once they start to crawl, they're even more impractical. Then again, I know lots of mums who'd never dress their baby girls in anything else - as I said, it's a very personal thing!
Maybe you could have a chat to your friend and sneakily glean some info about the type of baby clothes she likes, or the shops she likes. Maybe she's been given something already that she likes/hates - take your cue from that. Happy shopping!

Pumpkin Patch has some pretty outfits and shoes but as a new mum of a baby girl, myself - believe me, she'll be innudated with cute outfits for her baby girl - I really appreciated it when a friend presented me with a 'Box of Sox' by Cari which were 6 pairs of gorgeous designer baby socks of differing sizes from 0 - 12 mths (you know, the sort of thing that's too extravagant to buy for yourself but you would love to receive).
