Have any of you MNetters got one of these and waht are your opinions on them.

I am thinking of getting one of these although I cant decide on on of the pandora ones or a more traditional charm bracelet.

You can see the pandora range at beadazzle.co.uk (sorry cant do links)
Please let me know your opinions on them

TIA

I've got the very similar Trollbeads , which apparently the Pandora beads fit on too - I love my bracelet - haven't got many beads yet, but it's nice to have something to collect, and they feel lovely and chunky.

bigknickersbigknockers · 22/05/2007 19:28

thanks jackieNo, I only discovered the pandora beads in the local jewellers window, havent heard of them before or the Troll beads but they are lovely.

That's how I discovered the Trollbeads. I think Whizzz may have some too.

I have a troll bracelet. The pandora beads will fit on the troll bracelet but not vice versa.

Have a look at www.fabletrading.co.uk.

Also www.astringofbeads.co.uk. She makes beads similar to Troll beads but they are very hard to get hold of as she only makes a certain amount every week and they sell like hot cakes

Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 20:03

I buy mine via mail order from Loot of Winchester- no web site sorry but google and you'll find the telephone number. The bracelet comes in a lush box from them and they do next day delivery. Choose fromt he fabletrading web site and then order from Loot

bigknickersbigknockers · 22/05/2007 20:09

This is great. So would you advise I buy a troll beads bracelet then I can pick and choose which beads to put on it?

Am I right in thinking that troll beads will only go on a troll beads bracelet?

Sorry but they are so nice and I cant afford to make a mistake

Whizzz is another MNer.

Might have to investigate that other website - thanks Pixiefish.

scatterbrain · 22/05/2007 21:21

These are gorgeous - had never heard of them before this thread - or seen one !!! Damn you - this is going to cost me !!!

So Loot of Winchester eh >??

kittylette · 22/05/2007 21:25

Awwww they're divine!

I want!!

Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:31

Yes bigknickers- buy the troll bracelet and then you can put the pandoras on it.

When buying a troll bracelet you need the bracelet itself and a lock (clasp). Buy the bracelet 2cm longer than your wrist (befor ethe lock) and then you'll have loads of room for the beads on it otherwise it'll get too tight.

Shall post a piccie of mine in a minute

bigknickersbigknockers · 22/05/2007 21:32

The basic silver charms cost around £15 but they have some on ebay at afraction of the cost. I just need to be sure which bracelet to get so that I can use different charms on it IYKWIM.

I want one

So whats the general opinion on this... trollbeads/pandora OR traditional charm bracelet

OP posts:
bigknickersbigknockers · 22/05/2007 21:34

do you buy the lock at the same time as the bracelet and who fits the lock? do you fit it yourself or do you need a jeweller to fit it?

OP posts:
Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:35

my bracelet here

and the teddy that dd bought me for it here

Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:36

With the troll bracelet the lock has 2 clasps on it and you just put it on and off yourself. You can swap your beads to suit your mood/clothes.

Deffo get the troll bracelet and then you can put any bead on it

Whizzz · 22/05/2007 21:37

Yes - I have a Troll bracelet & Pnadora beads fit on it as well as the troll beads. I have also since learnt that there are quite a few beaders that can make the glass beads with a silver core (as per the troll beads - some will acctually make to order too) - here are a couple

String of beads

Wish I's found them before I bought the Troll ones

Whizzz · 22/05/2007 21:37

Mango

bigknickersbigknockers · 22/05/2007 21:38

Pixiefish your bracelet is georgous, makes me want on all the more.

OP posts:
Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:38

yes bigknickers- buy the lock at the smae time as the bracelet otherwise it won't close.

I got the simple lock the first time for £12 but i soon bought the big flower lock so really wasted money buying a simple lock to begin with although it will fit when I get a necklace

Whizzz · 22/05/2007 21:39

Shall I post a pic of mine too

Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:39

thanks bigknickers. The beads on a string of beads are called Dolly beads. I bought one that was called the same as my dd.

Whizzz · 22/05/2007 21:40

Oh & you can take the beads off & hang them onto a simple thong necklace too ! Very versatile

Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:40

yes Whizz.

Yorkiegirl also couldn't resist and got one.

She bought me the hands of friendship and I bought her the same

bigknickersbigknockers · 22/05/2007 21:40

Where do you reccomend I buy a troll bracelet from then? Are they available in shops or just online?

OP posts:
Pixiefish · 22/05/2007 21:41
