Have any of you MNetters got one of these and waht are your opinions on them.

I am thinking of getting one of these although I cant decide on on of the pandora ones or a more traditional charm bracelet.

You can see the pandora range at beadazzle.co.uk (sorry cant do links)
Please let me know your opinions on them

TIA

OK - it's there now if anyone wants a peek !

The black bead with the white spots is the Dutch one that was OK - cost about £2.50 including P&P !

Tiggiwinkle · 26/05/2007 13:13

Its lovely Scatterbrain! You lot have made me want one now-I see you got yours from the Loot place. Was it cheaper there than from the other places on the web (Jacksons etc?)
Also, what is the difference between the trollbeads and pandoras bracelets-I cant decide which to get?

bigknickersbigknockers · 26/05/2007 13:13

scatterbrain your bracelet is lovely, How much did you spend on beads at Loot then, were they any cheaper? And where did you get your bracelet from. I know I am being nosey i just cant afford to miss a bargain and you seem to have alovely bracelet straight away instead of a bracelet with hardly any charms on it

I have spent a bloody fortune !!! Got a bit carried away - I am not very good at waiting I'm afraid - so I went for the whole lot and stuck it on the credit card ! It was about .....gulp.......£290 !!

Got it all from Loot - fantastic service - prices are the same as on the fabletrading website www.fabletrading.co.uk and you just quote them the code numbers off that website. They do free P&P and they arrived the very next day.

dh has just noticed it and said "is that new" - and dd piped up "Yes and I'm having one too!" - oh well - he spent £350 on new work clothes last weekend !

scatterbrain · 26/05/2007 13:24

Tiggi - I only know what's been said on Mumsnet - so am just repeating - but it seems that the troll bracelets are more flexible as they can take Pandora and Troll beads - whereas I think Pandora chains only take Pandora beads. the Pandora ones have three sections I think - so the beads don't "flow" as much as they do with trolls Although I have seen stoppers for trolls which would achieve the same !

bigknickersbigknockers · 26/05/2007 13:55

lol scatterbrain, you sound like me 9unable to wait) Its my birthday in August and the sensible part of me knows I should just ask for money and then use that to buy bracelet, lock and a couple of beads but i want one now

In reality I think I will buy myself the bracelet and then ask for beads for my birthday

I have just bought two Pandora type bracelets with 5 charms for my DD and her friend as presents off an australian Ebay seller, they arrived this morning. Her website is www.charmedmoments.com.au. I also got a bracelet & a necklace for me and 4 other charms. The whole lot came to just over £30 including postage and I think they are really good value.

kittylette · 26/05/2007 14:11

I want to get 'expensive real beads' because i dont wear rings or necklaces so i want to get a couple of expensives ones each year, then when i have a daughter ill have something special to leave her, iykwim

chocolateteapot · 26/05/2007 14:14

That's a lovely idea Kitty, I'm sure she will love it I am too much of a skin flint, so my poor DD is going to have to make do with her imitation one I was wondering what the whole Pandora type thing would look like in real life compared to over the web and they do lok better than I thought.

scatterbrain · 26/05/2007 14:44

bigknicks - Loot will set up a wishlist for you - so you can refer friends and family to them and they can order what you actually want rather than getting random beads ! I might set one up for me - although I really do not need any more just now !

bobbiewickham · 26/05/2007 16:58

You gits - you have just cost me £297

bigknickersbigknockers · 26/05/2007 19:02

lol bobbie, all these ladies going spending a small fortune on beads are gonna be cursing me

Ummmm,

the people spending £300 to get a bracelet full of beads all at once arent you missing the whole point of the bracelets??

They're supposed to be built up over time, each bead meaning something special or being given on a special occasion?

Ive bought a bracelet and 3 beads to get me started and will be recieving them from DP & family and buying myself one when i achieve something!

Just a thought

scatterbrain · 26/05/2007 19:57

Well it's up to us isn't it kitty ?

You don't know what beads we've chosen - I for one have chosen very significant ones for my life - could you be just a little ??? And no I definitely haven't missed the point thanks !

kittylette · 26/05/2007 20:12

it wasnt meant nastily, why would i be jealous?

This place is getting feckin weird!

scatterbrain · 26/05/2007 20:15

kittylette · 26/05/2007 20:17

It is the tradional point of charm bracelets!

kittylette · 26/05/2007 21:14

Swizzler · 26/05/2007 21:19

Must ressurect my (traditional) charm bracelet - complete with charm of Windsor Castle that DH think looks like a toilet
