Do you think my flicks are too flicky? 😬

I’m pretty new to this eyeliner lark and I’m not young anymore sadly so I’m a little concerned I might need to be a little more conservative.

My eyes are deep set which makes doing the flicks much more tricky. I made myself a little template to try and get each side the same but now I’m wondering if I need to make them smaller 🤔

If anyone else with deep set eyes can be bothered to share a pic or a tutorial I’d be grateful.

You look gorgeous, don't doubt yourself! What surgery have you had?

CookPassBabtridge · 05/06/2018 20:44

Just found your thread, what an amazing improvement! You must be so thrilled to be able to do something as simple as wear eyeliner. I will be doing this when my hoods arrive!

ApplesTheHare · 05/06/2018 20:46

They look great. You have amazingly beautiful eyes!Smile

AliceAir · 05/06/2018 21:23

Your eyes are the most beautiful colour, and your flicks look lovely.

goose1964 · 05/06/2018 21:52

I'm old I thought this was going to be about hair flicks.

SleepFreeZone · 05/06/2018 21:52

Your comments are so lovely, thank you 💐

helips my HG eyeshadow is Urban Decay SIN. I absolutely love it.

How do you do them so neat? I see people flicks and I just do a bit fat blodgy line, not straight even. I really struggle!

Cheesymonster · 05/06/2018 22:18

They are perfect. I can't do flicks but also struggle with my blonde lash roots showing through even after my mascara is on.

Ilovewheelychairs · 05/06/2018 22:22

Wow you are gorgeous! And the flicks are perfect, not too big at all. Well balanced.

mocha78 · 05/06/2018 22:23

I think they look great too-you look very much like Elsa Pataky in these photos!

SleepFreeZone · 05/06/2018 22:59

mocha I think that’s probaboy the best compliment Ive ever had! 😍 If only I did look anything like her I’d be over the bloody moon, she’s absolutely gorgeous.

achoo I’ve no idea, I must have a steady hand. I’m not convinced about the liquid liner I’m using as it’s pooling a bit on application so I’ve bought two other brands to use. There’s another thread on here that discussing which brands are the best so I’m going for the cheaper versions first and seeing how I get on 😬

A) your flicks are gorgeous.

B) your eye colour is beautiful.

C) why doesn't SIN look like that on me Envy I have to apply it damp to see it at all!

April241 · 05/06/2018 23:13

Love them!! I don’t think they’re out of fashion in the slightest. Check YT and Instagram and you’ll see a ton of the posters do them daily.

I have hooded eyes and have never ever been able to make liner with flicks work. I use a pencil liner now along my lashline and smudge! I’ve had my makeup done a few times and they’ve never been able to do the liner either.

RoseWhiteTips · 05/06/2018 23:16

Agree about your eyes being lovely. Ditto the brows. Flicks, of course, are perfect!🙂

PineappleLava · 05/06/2018 23:23

Great flicks, not too big at all!

DeepFatFriar · 06/06/2018 12:48

Sorry to go against the grain but the brows and the flicks are a bit much IMO. You have really pretty eyes and i think all this stuff happening around them actually detracts from them.

JesusTapdancingChrist · 06/06/2018 12:54

Your eyeliner is 😍. Your whole face is tbh!

I imagine those who find your makeup excessive or heavy are the same delicate flowers who say black mascara is too much for daytime 🤣 .

SleepFreeZone · 06/06/2018 13:18

Deepfat I’m in two minds about my brows too tbh. I had them done 10 days ago and they were initially so bold I looked horrendous. Now the scabbing has gone and they do look better than they did but they’re still very strong I know. I’ve got a touch up booked to fill in the gaps and then I guess I’ll just see how they slowly fade. On the plus side at least they know have a shape! Before they were all over the place and a PITA.

Slanetylor · 06/06/2018 13:20

The flicks are fab.
But I, for one, am LOVING those brows!

SleepFreeZone · 06/06/2018 13:22

Oooh are you lol? I am happy one person likes them 😂

SleepFreeZone · 06/06/2018 13:28

I used a Rimmel eyeliner today and I think I did a much better job. It doesn’t look weird when I close my eyes. That’s still isi g my template which seems to work!

Do you think my flicks are too flicky? 😬

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 06/06/2018 13:31

@Hideandgo I did the flicks before they were fashionable (think 25yrs), still do now and will still do later on even if they are no longer de rigueur as they suit me, simple.

You look good OP.

Wellhellothere101 · 06/06/2018 13:40

Lovely! I've recently had upper eyelid surgery too to remove the droopy skin and I'm looking forward to trying to apply flicky eyeliner. I've never been able to use it before so I'm sooo excited!! I can't really work out how you use your template though.... I'll keep trying.

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 06/06/2018 16:07

I think they look great. I’ve given up trying!
