I have had a much longer for colour change to my hair. The stylist (she was awesome) achieved this with my thin, straggly hair.

Olaplex is amazing stuff. Now how can I achieve this blow dry at home?

Beautiful colour 😍 love it OP enjoy!

SouthWestmom · 02/06/2018 08:21

It's a lovely colour but it looks quite dry now. What's the aftercare regime? I gave up on bleach blonde as my hair was ruined after about three top ups.

Wingbing · 02/06/2018 08:23

Ok here is me with the first colour on, and another after shot where you can see that I am wearing a gown.

It looks really nice :)

itsbritneybiatch · 02/06/2018 08:27

Hey. Your hair looks gorgeous.

I lost loads of length due to bleaching. It's now back to a good condition.

Does olaplex prevent it getting wrecked by the bleach? I'm dying to go back blonde again.

Wingbing · 02/06/2018 08:29

Apparently so britney. It bonds the hair.

Usually it would take a few visits to go this light without damage. So I am told.

Wingbing · 02/06/2018 08:33

It looks lighter in other lights. So here is my face Shock

As you can see I don’t have the same blow drying skills.

I have never had hair like this before, hence the sharing. And the need for after care tips.

I also have fine very lonf hair. Olsplex damaged mine. A year on its gorfeoys agaun BUT dontbwash it every day! Thats where your damage and dryness is cominf from. I wash mine 2 times a week and its lovely.

Hellooojackie · 02/06/2018 08:39

I also condition, gentle shampoo roots and condition again.

Wingbing · 02/06/2018 08:41

Thank you everyone. Will use a lot of these tips. I do wash everyday, will be hard not to do that. I guess I need a shower cap!

thethoughtfox · 02/06/2018 08:43

So pretty. Don't wash it every day, you nutter. Gradually increase the days between washing over time. Only use purple shampoo once a week and you can leave it on for up to 15 minutes. Call your stylist and ask for advice. Use a hair mask once a week too.

DBoo · 02/06/2018 08:52

Olaplex is supposes to protect the hair during the colouring process but it's nowhere near as good as it is marketed to be.

As i say i had it on mine and could see the stylist combing my hair and it coming off like chewing gum. Even they commented it didnt seem to have done a good job.

You're hair does lool gorgeous op and thicker. It will be thicker because of the way the bleaching process damages the hair. Just take good care of it. I trained as a hair dresser and id have took a couple more inches off your length for protection.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/06/2018 09:27

Is it just me that thinks the hair in pic 2 looks quite dry? Shape is nice though.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/06/2018 09:28

Much better in the 2nd picture though.

LanguidLobster · 02/06/2018 09:57

Omg does Olaplex really do that? I'm getting some.

Hellooojackie · 02/06/2018 10:16

Olaplex trashed mine, seriously.

Be careful.

Wingbing · 02/06/2018 10:17

Good to know the second picture is best as that is my blow dry!

Yes it does look dry doesn’t it? I’m going to try to not wash it today and get some products as soon as I can.

Oooh it looks lovely, I just cut all my hair off so I'm almost bald. I'm planning to bleach and shape mine like this. Just waiting a 2 more weeks to get a bit a hair back. I've dyed it black - using a semi-permanent. How long should I wait before attempting to bleach it?

That hair style is fab nurse

DBoo · 02/06/2018 12:14

Olaplex will not affect the style of your hair.

To the poster who dyed their hair black it will be nigh on impossible to bleach it white. Best off shaving the dye off when it grows out and waiting for your natural hair to come back through and bleaching that.

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 02/06/2018 14:11

Looks fab!

Going from dark to blonde takes several appointments, you could easy need to go 5 or 6 times to achieve that shade of blonde safely from a dark colour.

thunderbirdthree · 02/06/2018 14:37

God, you're brave, OP. My hair is currently in recovery from bleach. I honestly wish I'd never touched the stuff, and I'm not someone who really 'does' regret.

It looks like you still need some length taken off. I'd invest in some REALLY good shampoo (I can recommend Aveda Damage Recovery) and some purple shampoo to ward off yellow tones. The Fudge one is by far the best (I've pretty much tried them all). It leave my hair really smooth and silky. Use once a week and leave on for a couple of minutes. Avoid the L'Oréal one like the plague; you're guaranteed a head of straw with that one.

I've lost all my thickness and length from bleach. I really hope you don't suffer the same.

Nishky · 02/06/2018 14:43

I use a purple shampoo called fudge- you can leave it on but have to be careful as it can leave purple streaks if left. I like that but not everyone’s taste. My hair has been platinum for a while and that is the best I have found for keeping the colour.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 02/06/2018 14:46

I use fudge as well. It’s great.
