I have a wedding celebration all day thing next month. It's festival/field themed. Will wear either wedges or pretty sandals. Which dress do you like better?

First one. Lovely.

Number 1 is lovely.

lostleonardo · 24/05/2018 08:13

One. Gorgeous dress

mimibunz · 24/05/2018 08:14

Number 1 but I love the neck of number 2.

user1457017537 · 24/05/2018 08:14

Sorry I don’t like the colour. When I worked for a fashion designer many moons ago, it was thought to be a grim colour, it still is.

berriesandcream21 · 24/05/2018 08:20

Thanks user but I do love this colour. Your opinion though.

I prefer no 2. No one I suspect will be a bit robe like in real life, but also keep gaping open and you'll constantly be fixing it.

pasturesgreen · 24/05/2018 08:24

Number 1. Have to agree with mimi, though, very difficult colour to pull off.

pasturesgreen · 24/05/2018 08:25

Whooops, not mimi, user, sorry!

user1499173618 · 24/05/2018 08:25

Number 1 looks better on the model, but do you have her figure? No 2 would look infinitely better on me!

QueenOfMyWorld · 24/05/2018 08:31

2 is more formal and wouldn't look good with wedges so id go for 1

dancingqueen345 · 24/05/2018 08:32

No 1 - but I'm pretty sure I've ordered this same dress recently in the short version (it was either Miss Guided or PLT) and the material was really cheap so went back. Love the style though (and the colour!)

Namethecat · 24/05/2018 08:36

No1 looks good on the model but she is very tall with fab legs so can pull it off. Also it has a very high split so you'd have to decide if appropriate for a wedding.

Emma198 · 24/05/2018 08:43

1 but might be a pain if it's windy.

12Etudes · 24/05/2018 08:45

I was going to say if it’s Asos their clothes always look and fit completely different in real life! So I’d probably order both and decide irl which to wear.

I love the look of 1 though I agree there’s a lot on show and weddings are supposed to be classy affairs. Number 2 definitely fits the wedding look. Also I bet it actually looks nicer as it really shows off your sillouhette.

RomaineCalm · 24/05/2018 08:52

I like them both but number 1 is my favourite, assuming that you have the figure and the colouring to make it work.

I know it's a wedding celebration but my only question is whether either are really very festival or field themed.

BigFatBloomers · 24/05/2018 08:56

No 1 definitely, although I agree with PPs that it may be tricky to stay decent in it.
Don’t think No 2 is the right sort of style for a festival/field themed wedding. Too slinky.

PetulantPolecat · 24/05/2018 08:59

Both awful, sorry. They are the sort that hang right on the model in a studio setting but the first one will either be blowing in the wind and you’ll have one hand always down to catch the flap, and the second just looks cheap. That sort of clinging cut needs expensive material to hang off you properly.

Regressionconfession · 24/05/2018 09:02

Number 1 is lovely!!

PetulantPolecat · 24/05/2018 09:03

I think this Karen Millen dress is more like Amal’s

From that same article, can I just derail and say wtf is this £1000 monstrosity?

It’s like someone off Little House on the Prairie that I’d expect to see on some reality show based in Utah where wife number 3 wears that to soon-to-be- wife number 6’s wedding
