I just want a decent pair of black leggings...

I had a great pair from Marks that they have discontinued. I've learned not to buy super cheap that become see through and shapeless immediately (Primark) but I can't spend more than £20 on a pair. Can anyone recommend a pair that are comfy and survive the wash? Thank you.

I got a pair from new look a few years back and they have done good service, I suppose it's just a case for looking around and also seeing any reviews too

Mint Velvet !

Tylerschair · 23/04/2018 11:58

I second Mint Velvet! Bought the black ones after reading MN recommendations and they are fab - really great fit, quality fabric and wash well.

notapizzaeater · 23/04/2018 12:13

Sainsbury's 'posh' ones think about £10 a pair - they are opaque and wash well

FamilyLiving · 23/04/2018 12:14

River island leggings are great!

letiziana · 23/04/2018 12:27

Sainsbury's ones are great, about £10 a pair (not the two pack)

Madwithjealousy · 23/04/2018 12:29

Another vote for Sainsburys £10 ones here !

WanderingTrolley1 · 23/04/2018 12:29

I always go back to Peacocks leggings.

Justgivemesomepeace · 23/04/2018 12:32

My dd swears by Sainsbury's leggings. They've had none in though for the last month or so for some reason.

itallhappensforareason · 23/04/2018 12:37

I've had great ones from Topshop and Dorothy Perkins.

han01uk · 23/04/2018 12:42

The single ones from sainsburys. Super soft, wash amazingly, and have a nice thicker waistband.

Dalesgirl16 · 23/04/2018 12:51

Thanks!

H&M leggings are the best imho

PiggeryPorcombe · 23/04/2018 13:09

I bought the Mint Velvet ones after folk raved about them on here. I’m not impressed tbh. They’re thinner than I like and the waist is high (which is good) but they don’t stay up high and roll down.

I much prefer my Next ones 🤷🏻‍♀️

bettydraper31 · 23/04/2018 13:11

Mint velvet!

CognitiveDissonance · 23/04/2018 13:28

Sainsbury's £10 ones here too. Love them.

Pancakeflipper · 23/04/2018 13:30

I am a Mint Velvet fan too after recommendations on here.

Also going to try the Sainsbury's ones too now.

Dalesgirl16 · 23/04/2018 22:41

I'm going to research every pair as I'm sick of this problem. Even My only decent pair, the Marks ones, are too short for me in regular length and at 5'2 inches tall!

Thanks to those who recommended mint velvet. My old faithful sainsburys leggings had to go, I had no time to go buy more, so ordered MV online. They’re fab, non seethrough, very high waisted and so comfy. Happy camper 😊

PiggeryPorcombe · 25/04/2018 16:13

Why are my Mint Velvet leggings crap then Sad

thedevilinablackdress · 25/04/2018 16:34

Which style are they Piggery?

There are some with zips and things. These are the ones I get

PiggeryPorcombe · 25/04/2018 16:35

Yeah it’s those that I have. I suspect my body may be at fault rather than the leggings 😂🤔

FamilyLiving · 25/04/2018 16:49

You lot have me wanting to ditch my RI ones and give mint velvet a go 😂

Cliveybaby · 25/04/2018 16:51

I like new look as they do tall versions of stuff
