Where to get non-wedding dress white lace dress?

I'm getting married this summer, and the wedding is extremely low key (registry office, just family).

I want to wear a classic white lace knee length (or just above knee) dress, which doesn't have to be an actual wedding dress, and the budget is probably no more than £300. I'm size 8 and tall; not much boob or bottom.

Style-wise, I was thinking a sort of Victorian look, i.e. high necklace (see photo), with a fitted body. I'm also open to other styles, but nothing too modern and definitely no strapless!

I've tried ASOS, Maje and Sandro, but haven't spotted anything I liked. Are there other good shops for this sort of thing?

Thank you @itallhappensforareason I just had a look and nothing quite fits the bill

@TheReturnoftheSmartArse that dress is excellent! It feels a bit on the casual side (maybe because of all the circles? Looks a bit tennis dressy) but a definitely a contender Smile

Good old HOF, thank you @AlwaysTryingToHelp will take a look! The Ralph Lauren seems suspiciously affordable!

Maybe Chichi London? I wore something similar for my wedding from there.

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 18/04/2018 16:37

Chi Chi London have some nice ones. I am wearing this one on my wedding day. Registry office just my parents and DC.

Monsoon bridal ?

Lobsterquadrille2 · 18/04/2018 17:03

I am getting married in July - same set up as yours and same body type - and 5 foot 8. I am thinking of this - if it doesn't work, it's the Monsoon Henrietta dress. I also like a couple of their pale coloured bridesmaid dresses.

sundayblanket · 18/04/2018 17:07

Thanks all!

@BigFatBloomers the Paul & Joe is actually in my list of dresses already, but again I wondered if it was too casual...

@Lobsterquadrille2 the Henrietta is lovely, but I really want a high neck number...

You could try house of mookski. They do Victorian lace style dresses but not sure if I'm your price range.

BigFatBloomers · 18/04/2018 21:15

@sundayblanket I guess you're the only one who knows whether it's too casual. It perhaps isn't very sophisticated.

This one is lovely.

This would be very pretty with a slip underneath it.

This is nice but you may think it's too modern

I think, this one would look better if it fitted the model properly.

sundayblanket · 18/04/2018 21:22

@BigFatBloomers wow silkfred looks great! Will have a proper browse Smile
