Office Hallie sandals - fabulous or frumpy?

I'm sure there's been a thread on these already, but I can't find it. What's the MN verdict - yay or yuck? www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,305/1858530452

And what about the Sorbet sandals www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,60/2968191746

I am for ever on the hunt for the right sandals. Need support, no mules, no heels, as little chance of rubbing as possible for medical reasons. Narrow-ish feet. I had a lovely pair of Yokonos but the soles split very quickly :(

Those saying go completely flat, wouldn't your feet, ankles and calves be agony by the end of the day in a totally flat shoe?

No. I wear flat shoes all the time (including some barefoot shoes) Can't wear heels, find them agony, they squeeze my toes and hurt the balls of my feet. Flat shoes reflect how we are designed to walk much more than heels of any height and are much better for you.

I wore gold Hallies last summer, they were lovely and soft and didn’t rub at all. The straps cross over your feet quite high up so they stay on easily. The suede ones are even softer if you are worried about rubbing.
I am prone to a pinched/ swollen nerve in my foot but found these really comfy. I have fat calves and these do not look good on me in dresses but probably nice in those with slim legs.

I have the hallies in gold and I love them. They’re the comfiest sandals I’ve ever had. I’ve had 2 pairs now as when mine wore out I bought some more. They go with everything too!

I don't feel comfy in flat shoes but I love being barefoot (and do) I don't find flat shoes feel the same.

I go bare foot as much as I can around the house etc but I can't wear very flat shoes, it's just not the same for me. But I do have very specific issues with my feet and legs, hence all the pickiness about sandals!

Sadly don't think I'll be able to go flat this year either (plantar fascilitis). I fancy an orange pair of Hallies but they go with nothing I own!

I like the Hallies OP. I'm tempted to get some. I'm usually a 6.5 but I don't think Office do half sizes. Those of you who've got them, would you size up or down?

Madbengalmum · 27/04/2018 15:51

I a, a 5.5 and have a 6.

Spartacunt · 27/04/2018 15:54

Go bigger - I have them.

WhereAreWeNow · 27/04/2018 16:12

Thanks. I'll try them in a 7. Now I just need to choose from all those colours!

dontstopthepeach · 08/05/2018 13:51

After all that talk, I didn't go for either of them!

Moshulu Ginger Ales are fab though. Yeah, slightly frumpy, but incredibly comfortable straight out of the box. Thanks all!
