Now wondering whether I should keep both the diamond tees- ha ha

Luckylollies · 21/04/2018 20:02

nearly I really like the diamond tees on you - you should keep both if you don’t have those colours!

Luckylollies · 21/04/2018 20:07

laska John Lewis has one M Sylvie back in stock if you still want it

neveradullmoment99 · 21/04/2018 20:10

Now the voice of reasoning.
The tee in red looks great on you. Keep the colour you like best. I cant remember how much they are but around 35? That's £70 for both. Its a lot of money for two tees in my opinion. They are nice though and if the price doesn't bother you then keep them both.

Very sensible - Never I will definitely only keep one, I've learnt from past experiences not to buy two things in the same style in different colours as I always prefer one more than the other. ( apart from things that are plain i.e. Raglan tees / harems) The last Hush item I did it with was the star jumper a couple of years ago buying both colours and one hardly getting worn.
I think I'll probably go with guava as it's a bit different for me.

Laska5772 · 21/04/2018 20:46

lucky Thanks! I just grabbed it ! xxxx

Laska5772 · 21/04/2018 20:52

I am not buying MV shoes even though they are really nice and look great on you both so Stop it OK? Grin

miffy2 · 21/04/2018 21:53

I got those mv shoes recently from house of Fraser with £10 off. They are Adele, a new-ish style, and the previous style (with the double row of studs) are Julie. I k ow as I stalked the sites for them!!
Haven’t worn them yet but may do tomorrow as we have family over to celebrate DH turning 50.

I think I’m going to get a pair of the cropped harems soon. I love the regular length and figure the croooed will come in handy. And another pair of Monaco if they bring them out in a third colour. I am wearing my black pair today with a white Gap tshirt and I even wore them to dinner (in a pub) with leopard print flats.

clownfaces · 22/04/2018 16:40

Lucky thanks for the picture of the Sylvie. I still like it but won't bother now. It looks lovely on you but a bit on the large side?

Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 19:02

The M Sylvie came , better fir ( its not that much bigger TBH, but the sleeves are too long! ( quite bit too long ..). I'm actually thinking of returning both, now I am not sure if its special enough for the price.. I've got a bit longer to mull it over..

neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 19:27

That happened to me with the ombre sweatshirt. The sleeves in the medium were far too long laska. I ended up keeping the small when comparing the two as the fit of the medium just felt big but not in a nice baggy way - more boxy than I would like. I actually haven't worn it yet!!!

Am looking to buy a new skirt or dress but nothing really appeals to me on the hush website. All the skirts are just too fancy or more for the beach and nothing is really coming out at me dress wise. I do like the navy dress and the black with the little stars but the navy is awkward with what to wear on my legs and the black is just a bit dull for this time of the year.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 19:30

..and again, all the other dresses are summer holiday/beach wear and I just really want a smart casual dress for work.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 19:31

and all the skirts atm everywhere seem to be midi and not knee length. So tiresome.

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 19:52

perhaps they think you get longer arms then when your tum is a bit bigger!
Have you looked at Seasalt.. they have a short sleeve Millpool dress I quite like its bit like the Ivy (but maybe its a bit too casual ..I have the long sleeve version I wear it to work ). I like this too but the shape is wrong for me

Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 19:52

and this quite jolly

neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 20:02

I like the millpool dress. I think its nice in the stripe and the spotty version. Would I need to size down? I will have a look at seasalt. Used to order from them but haven't for a long time. May look at the skirts too but they may be a frumpy length on me. I like the second one you posted esp the dotty one but not sure about the shape for me either. I don't usually wear nipped in dresses at the waist. They may suit me but find them restrictive. Thanks for those. Will have a browse.

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 20:06

Yes I would size down, I decided to get the 14 because of my norkage but probably could have gone smaller ,

Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 20:11

JL has Seasalt also .. , Dont know where you are , but they have shops. Ive been to the Chichester one..

neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 20:12

I do love the art book pinafore dress. That may also make it on to my shopping list!!! I like the longer sleeved version prints of the millpool dress Laska. Which one have you got?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 20:14

We don't have any seasalt shops in Glasgow except for in JL[ Mind you, they may have one I just don't go into the city much now]. I used to order loads from them when I was into prints and white stuff. Things got a bit dull with both of them but I do love some of the seasalt prints. Again, the length of things are below the knee on me and its not the best length for me. I like on the knee or just below or above!

Thebirthdayparty · 23/04/2018 20:16

Where are you finding the midi skirts? I’m looking for them! All the ones I see are short.

Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 20:16

They dont have mine any more its a thin strip in purple and dark blue.. (they have the thin stripe in light blue dark blue still.)

I love the art book pinafore.. sadly it wont work with my bust!.

I also like the Larissa shirt in colour test hay (blue yellow) .I might get that .. it says size up on that though

neveradullmoment99 · 23/04/2018 20:26

The larissa shirt is pretty. Its a nice fresh print and colour esp for summer.
I think if I order something it will be the art book pinafore dress. I really do love that. I think I can get away with it at work with a nice tee under it. Very versatile for all seasons tbh. My only concern is that some say it gapes at the back.
Birthday They look midi to me because they come to the calf on the model but are more likely to be full length on me at 5ft 5!!! The skirts are all long length on the seasalt website!

Laska5772 · 23/04/2018 20:35

Oooooh like this ..
