Does anyone remember a white sleeveless lace effect summer top last year from Hush. It was priced around £70/80 pounds. In my stupidity I ordered it thinking it simply had to be the perfect white top that could be worn anywhere and everywhere.

When it arrived it was a baggy off white shapeless top. Very very similar to H&M tops although H&M Ines were actually white and a quarter of the price.

Hush can be ok and I have some nice Hush items. Sometimes I like it because it is easy to choose from their limited selection instead of looking around and checking what is available elsewhere. Looking around is necessary though even just to compare the quality. H&M, Zara, Oasis are comparable with Hush but with lower prices. Massimo Dutti and Hush are very similar in both price and quality although MD tend to have less garish colours but Hush footwear is considerably more comfortable. . It is worth looking around.

Ellapaella · 08/04/2018 13:07

H & M and Hush are very comparable in terms of style imo. Personally I think mostly quality is better with Hush. H & M do some things very well such as their basic tops and tees but sizing is all over the place and knit wear in particular washes dreadfully.
The reason I like Hush so much is because the style is very 'me'. Hush and All Saints are the two labels I feel really appeal to my own style. I like casual clothes that are a little different, I always find several things I love every season in Hush.
I wouldn't buy from Hush for going out clothes or slightly more glamorous looks, for me it's more for a casual look. I wear a uniform at work so don't buy 'office' clothes, if I did I'm not sure whether Hush would be my go to place, I've never really looked for that type of outfit from there. Although I wish I had somewhere to wear the lovely Culottes that's SoYo posted on the last thread, they look really lovely.

SoyYo · 08/04/2018 17:39

I agree you have to watch Hush quality like a Hawk and though we all love it it's a very casual vibe which suits me fine as I'm 50% home based. The Bryce culottes were one of those finds for work and I also wear the ruched burgundy skirt at work as it's sturdy enough quality and looks good with a looser top/jumper.
Some of the less formal going out things are also great like the blue/black lace skirt (sadly no longer available) which was lined, very comfortable and looked great with a plain v neck fitted jumper. I wore this a lot last Xmas and I have a business dinner in Paris next week I'm thinking of wearing it to as it's different but not "too try hard".
I frequently defect to Baukjen for higher quality jersey tops more suitable for work (if I don't feel like wearing a shirt) and I rate their leather at sale prices (though have never tried Hush leather).
Anyway even those of us who adore Hush for its styling and relaxed vibe are fully aware we have to kiss many "frogs" before finding the prince amongst them that keeps us coming back for more.
H&M just confuses me...too much like a jumble sale shop and the few times I visited the shop I thought the clothes smelt a bit. That's just me maybe? I don't have the time to hunt through the jumble sale to find the odd gem.
I also recommend the Fitzgerald jacket, reasonably priced but it did arrive a bit creased which again it's another very annoying trend with Hush lately.
But the most annoying bit is they take absolute ages to acknowledge returns and refund Angry
If this continues I may also stop being so generous with my comments...

Oh, I couldn't find this thread a minute ago 🙂.

I think I read which company makes hush jewellery on here, but I can't remember now - does anyone happen to know? Thank you!

MyRunMyPace · 08/04/2018 21:51

Oh, it's hultquist 🙂.

Dancergirl · 09/04/2018 12:31

Does anyone have the Sylvie v-neck jumper? I really like it and it says new in but it's sold out!

clownfaces · 09/04/2018 13:30

Dancer One of the regular posters has the Sylvie jumper on order. She is going to post about it when it arrives, as I quite fancied it myself.

clownfaces · 09/04/2018 13:31

It was Luckylollies Blush

ilovecherries · 09/04/2018 20:00

Well, finally got my refund today. That's a full two weeks. And no sign of my exchanges actually being processed yet. Boden has a lot of faults but my return, sent the same day as the Hush one was refunded 10 days ago, the exchange was processed at the same time, and arrived three days after the rest of the order was refunded.

Dancergirl · 09/04/2018 21:12

Wonder if they’ll get any more stocks in of the Sylvie jumper.....

Has anyone tried the Hampstead top?

Laska5772 · 09/04/2018 21:13

Not so good Cherries, (but great you got your £££ back) Refunds are much slower now . I got one last week id forgotten id even sent !

So.. ..
the Majestic trainers (those made by Ash that they sell in Hush ) that I swiped for £60 BNIB on ebay (in silver/red) came today.. They are Fantastico! Am so pleased..( I will try and get a photo when I am home on Thursday). They also came with red glitter laces!.. but I have now ordered some dark blue and some black glitter laces from an ebay seller (though China so may take a little time to arrive) . . I am really glad I took a punt on them!

I did end up ordering the green 'tattoo heart' sweat Ella , and again am an really did ..its great!. I was worried that the logo wasn't really my thing and might be a bit bright, but it isn't . I love it. I got an M and its just the right amount of baggy .

I have restarted the diet today , (5:2 ). but it will be fine even with another stone off (which is what id like to do before my holiday

Laska5772 · 09/04/2018 21:16

Dancergirl they may not. Hush dont tend to ..but keep looking back on the site at about 9.30 am .. that's when they post the returns up..

Nearlyadoctor · 09/04/2018 21:21

So glad you're pleased with the heart sweat Laska I have to say I've worn mine loads. I did see the Seasalt one irl at the weekend and didn't think the colour was anywhere near as nice

Laska5772 · 09/04/2018 21:37

Thanks Nearly ( it was you that asked wasnt it ,not Ella?) I really love it.. so much so , that I may even wear it to work tomorrow!.. ( we can be quite casual in our place Grin anyway I dont care

ilovecherries · 09/04/2018 21:44

I wore the green heart sweat today as well, really love it (though again wondering if I went too big, but I don't think it matters so much in a sweatshirt).

MyRunMyPace · 09/04/2018 21:55

Does anyone have the reversible navy and grey star Stella jumper?

Laska5772 · 09/04/2018 22:00

Cherries did you also get the M? and have you washed it ? My yellow one is m and I was wondering when i wore it at weekend if it had stretched a little in the wash ..

Laska5772 · 09/04/2018 22:02

. oh,I should actually say that although I restarted the diet today ,I then met DS after work and we had a curry! Blush although I didn't have any rice or bread with mine ..

Proper restart again tomorrow , eh

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2018 22:13

Ellapaella · 09/04/2018 22:14

Laska the heart sweater is one of my favourite buys. Glad you like it. I've washed mine several times with no change in shape or shrinkage. I've washed it inside out on a cool wash.

Laska5772 · 09/04/2018 22:19

Yay Never actually haven't we been on 5:2 thread together before (in ye olde days?) I was on the very first thread (and about the next 16) and it was great , but I fell off the wagon.. Sad

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2018 22:29

Actually yes we have but we can do support on here too. I havent been on it and i never weigh myself only measure.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2018 22:31

I cant weigh as i feel i become obsessed and depressed if i dont lose.

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 09/04/2018 23:38

I bought it in large, Laska, but I got it...hmm...maybe 6 weeks ago, and I didn't want it fitted across my chest. But I've lost probably another half stone since then, and I def think both it and the yellow one are probably too big now. The pink puff sleeve I bought in M, so it's just a nice relaxed fit.

ilovecherries · 09/04/2018 23:41

runmypace, I got the reversible lightning bolt in the winter. I really like it, but found to my cost that you MUST wear a vest with it or it bobbles terribly across the top of your bra cup. I can only wear mine one way because of that.
