What is it?

Fed up with my dry, horrible lips. I’ve been using Blistex in the pot for years, but I need to reapply constantly. Grr!!

Burt's Bees pomegranate. I bulk buy them from Boots or Holland & Barratt so that I can have tubes in the car, my bag, at home, in the pocket of my dog walking jacket and at work in my desk drawer. Lovely stuff.

Another vote for Nuxe (the pot rather than stick version) I get it in M&S when they have 20% off beauty.

MarthasGinYard · 29/03/2018 08:35

Clinique super balm in the little green tube

Kitsharrington · 29/03/2018 08:43

Nuxe. Hands down.

thedevilinablackdress · 29/03/2018 08:48

Nuxe (pot) by a mile.

Also, somewhat counterintuitively, Lush lip scrub really helped when I had sore flaky lips.

Mulberrysilk · 29/03/2018 08:50

Burt's bees.

Anything with lanolin in it makes my lips worse.

GinIsIn · 29/03/2018 08:50

8 hr cream here too

WillAgeDisgracefully · 29/03/2018 08:58

Chop saver. Used by woodwind players. Brilliant

ThomasHardyPerennial · 29/03/2018 08:59

Weleda everon (peachy tube) is the best one I have ever used, and it only costs a few pounds too!

Fozzleyplum · 29/03/2018 08:59

Thanks Petite Marseillaise. Will get some ordered.

runningdoll · 29/03/2018 09:53

I've used the Nivia one for years (hydro care or original). It's so cheap that I can afford to own about 5 or 6 at once so I have a couple at home, 1 in each bag and 1 in the car.

Having said that perhaps with a better one I might not need to re-apply through the day?

FlorisApple · 29/03/2018 09:59

Carmex. I always come back to Carmex.

Luckingfovely · 29/03/2018 10:01

Blistex in a tube is 1000% better than the one in the pot!

Botanicbaby · 29/03/2018 10:20

Don't bother with the body shop honey balm or the Eve Lom lip balm. Both rubbish.

BagelGoesWalking · 29/03/2018 10:24

Husky does this ship to Oz without being ridiculously expensive? m.lookfantastic.com/nuxe-baume-levres-reve-de-miel-honey-lip-balm-15g/10548881.html

positivepineapple · 29/03/2018 12:04

I've heard that Blistex is bad for your lips, it has an ingredient that drys them out which makes you reapply. Not sure how much truth in this? I've never liked it as it doesn't seem to last on me.

I have chronically dry lips and am forever searching for the best lip balm. I will definitely be purchasing a few from this thread. At the moment I'm rating Elizabeth Arden 8 hour intense and Jo Malone (the one in the pot)

TansyViolet · 29/03/2018 12:10

Nivea stick - good
Nuxe stick- good, not mad on the smell
Burts bees pomegranate- like the subtle colour, works, don't like the smell
Nivea watermelon stick - like the colour/works/not mad on the smell
Burts bees honey - smells nice/works well

PestoSurfissimos · 29/03/2018 12:13

Carmex

HuskyMcClusky · 29/03/2018 12:17

Thanks so much - lots to consider.

Bagel, it looks like the Nuxe ships to Oz for $17.50, which is a bit 😵, given that Blistex is $4. (And that I’m hopeless at losing lip products.) Very tempted though.

Origins lip remedy is what you need for blistered, chapped lips.

sanitygirl · 29/03/2018 12:23

Lansinoh

TansyViolet · 29/03/2018 12:26

Just remembered i got a Petite Marseillais lip balm when i did a Frenchclick order which smells nice and works well

Best EVER lip balm!
Snipples · 29/03/2018 12:30

Do you have the body shop in oz - I bought a fabulous lip balm product there last week - it's a solid Moroccan oil lip balm. I'd highly recommend.

ladyirish · 29/03/2018 12:33

Nuxe in the pot

HuskyMcClusky · 29/03/2018 12:34

We do have Body Shop, Snipples, I might give that a whirl!
