I've got to go to one next month..

How formal are these things? it's the finale to a seminar/training weekend thing in a hotel.

I went to a gala dinner in aid of a theatre. Wore LBD (just above knee), heels and a very pale gold wrap and felt about right...

Usually something posh but not full length from Monsoon or similar for these things, with a nice blow dry 9short hair so don't do up) and maybe a pretty comb

Oh I know what you mean

At the awards we go to each year, I was the only one not wearingt hat black trousers / black top with georgette long sleeves uniform in our group (I was wearing olive green silk and a gold wrap / shoes LOL)

felt so much more glamourous than them, and seemed to have a better time (from what I can remember before I passed out LOL)

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 09/05/2007 18:25

thanks ladies, gonna go and have dinner now, I'll be back..

twinsetandpearls · 09/05/2007 18:45

Well don't waste money if you won't wear again, borrow (what size are you? if you're a 14 i can lend) or get on Ebay

MrsBadger · 10/05/2007 10:46

...or if a 10 I could lend...
