Would love honest opinions on this dress

Without the black tights and boots obviously! For a spring wedding and possibly a 40th birthday party in the summer. I’m rubbish at knowing what looks good since having kids, I live in jeans and trainers!

Would love honest opinions on this dress

That’s beautiful-you look great! Can I ask where it’s from?

TheDowagerCuntess · 16/03/2018 09:33

Hard to say, when you've styled it with the black tights and boots you (rightly) don't want to influence people's opinions.

Can you take a better pic of it?

princesspxx · 16/03/2018 09:34

That is a beautiful dress!! Would look lovely with navy heels

Where is it from Flowers

BabloHoney · 16/03/2018 09:37

Thanks so much! x It’s this one from Phase 8 (bought in Debenhams)

I really like it! Maybe with some tan or silver/gold delicate scrappy shoes? Go for it ; )

AnyFucker · 16/03/2018 09:46

Nice. It suits you.

Mulberrysilk · 16/03/2018 09:47

Oh yes, lovely.

letsdolunch321 · 16/03/2018 09:48

Yep likey, likey.

Cinnamus · 16/03/2018 09:54

You look great!
You can always ask the shop assistant for a pair of heels to try on with the dress.

Ididnthearanything · 16/03/2018 09:58

Yes. V nice on you.

BabloHoney · 16/03/2018 10:13

Thanks everyone, you’re all very kind!

It's a very pretty dress and perfectly suitable for a wedding. It maybe looks like it could be more fitted around your waist but that's all.

Rylanmakesmyheartsmile · 16/03/2018 10:19

It's nice but I'm not sure about the lace bit at the bottom - I don't know - it makes it seem older somehow.

I agree that you could go for something more fitted which I think would suit your body shape better

LiquoricePickle · 16/03/2018 10:20

You look great!

sportyfool · 16/03/2018 13:49

Bare arms and black tights and boots doesn't look right to my eye but the dress itself is lovely .

sportyfool · 16/03/2018 13:49

Apologies I've just re read the op .. 😬😬

sweetmonkeys · 16/03/2018 13:50

I'm going to go against the grain and say that the pattern and 'lace' detail at the hem make it look really frumpy.

You have a fabulous figure, OP. This dress isn't doing you justice. Thanks

FrogInASock · 16/03/2018 14:28

Unclench your fist; you look nervous. Strut that dress confidently because it suits you.

oohyoudevilyou · 16/03/2018 14:51

I like it. You don't look dissimilar in figure to the model wearing it on the website.

LaCerbiatta · 16/03/2018 16:04

I'm sorry but I think it's teally frumpy. I think it's the combination of pattern with the longer length.

JesusTapdancingChrist · 16/03/2018 16:33

Very ageing and frumpy imo.

You look young with an amazing figure. That dress isn't doing you justice.

DownAtFraggleRock · 16/03/2018 16:35

lovely - needs strappy navy heels.

The lace bit will look lovely against bare legs, it's the tights that make it look odd.

MairzyDoats · 16/03/2018 16:39

I'm 42 and wouldn't wear that for fear of frump. I think it's boring I'm afraid..

BabloHoney · 16/03/2018 16:44

Thanks so much to everyone that commented! x
The tights don’t go at all i know 🙈 I was just wearing them at the time, I tried the dress on during an impromptu shopping trip with a couple of friends.. both who encouraged me to go for this dress, it’s not normally the sort of thing I would pick. But as I say, I’ve completely lost my style sense since having children haha.
All the comments are very much appreciated x

I think its lovely but definitely needs to be worn with heels because of the length.
