I would like a nice top to go to the pub in plus some glam sandals

So please help! Have lots of school run outfits - cropped jeans, skinny jeans plus puff sleeve shirt and vest or cotton dress - but nothing slightly more glam to wear with jeans to go to the gastro pub for dinner with dh. I also need glam maybe beaded flat sandals. Please! I am 5'8" size 12, curvy, brunette, short bob, 40 something but not dumpy frumpy.

Top . . .

Anything that's specifically a NO, e.g., sleeveless, tunic, etc.?

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:18

Glam sandals?

expatinscotland · 06/05/2007 22:22

Am stumped for a top, though.

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:22

Pink but not completely flat.

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:25

Are flip flops too casual ? If they aren't, Accessorize has 5 pages of them

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:27

Pretty .

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:31

These are lovely too , and I also like the look of the others on that page.

Both the Patti and Petra styles here might work?

More here too .

expatinscotland · 06/05/2007 22:31

top

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:32

Lots of nice ones on the Dune site .

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:34

Could you do a halter neck , or do you need sleeves?

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:36

This is pretty for something with a bit more coverage.

\link{http://tansen.co.uk/storeitem.jsp_vid=20050927001&iid=10980&cid=3484&pcid=3348&lang=0.html\or this one?

DavidMitchell · 06/05/2007 22:38

or this one?

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 22:41

That's pretty too - they have lots of lovely stuff on that website, don't they.

Aloha · 07/05/2007 12:47

Top lovely but a little bare for me, I think. Not that confident! Shoes gorgeous - esp Expat's first one Jackie No's 'pool sandals' (how fab!) and will peruse in detail later. I wouldn't feel covered enough in a halter neck, I think. Used to love them though...sigh. Maybe some arm covering might be good - long enough to cover any tummy flab please!

Ah, so more of a glam tunic type thing then.

JackieNo · 07/05/2007 13:32

Principles good, as ever - how about this , or (depending how gifted you are in the nork department) I love this print , but it's probably best for those with less in the chestal area.

JackieNo · 07/05/2007 13:33

This is a lovely colour, too.

JackieNo · 07/05/2007 13:35

I like this wrap top too, though it's not as summery as some of the others.

JackieNo · 07/05/2007 13:53

And another tunic type one .

brandnewhelsy · 07/05/2007 14:02

lots in Monsoon - the one on the bottom right with the black bow looks nicer on than off

JackieNo · 07/05/2007 14:03

I quite like this too.

Aloha · 07/05/2007 22:36

Ooh, thanks so much! YOu know, I think I need to go to Monsoon and do some trying on. I am a bit scared of sequins, but think this is pathetic, as they are the sort of thing I like on other people. I am in central London tomorrow so might sneak off to a Monsoon for a try - I'll wear my jeans to get the full effect. I am really grateful.
