Estée Lauder double wear

So I've been to both Debenhams and house of Fraser to be told they can't provide a sample. This has happened a few times so I contacted Estée Lauder direct. They say they don't give them out but will refund a bottle of it's not suitable.
This is so annoying, they are £33 a bottle and I think maybe 2-3 'look' right but it's a gamble.

Is it worth the money? And also does anyone have fairish skin and what colour do you use? I'd prefer a warmer tone than a pink as think i look washed out.
Thanks

This review has lots of swatches which is useful if you think your shade is s little off.

Did uses sand as has very fair skin. Could you not ask at the counter for them to make up your face in areas with the colours? Or at least put colour samples on a piece of paper for you to take away?
