If you went for a ring that wasn’t just a plain band, why and please show me! We’ve had a few engagement ring threads but I don’t think a wedding ring one.

Mines like this, with a smaller pear diamond. Very dainty and simple.

Mine is very similar to this, I love it.

Mine is similar to this but more delicate. I wear it with a simple solitare. After 15 years I still love it.

Lizthefizzy · 22/02/2018 23:31

I wanted sometging other than a plain band but one that lay close to my engagement ring (the subtle dip nestles up to the solitare in my e. ring very nicely) but also a ring I could wear by itself so I didn't want a shaped ring.

GreenTulips · 22/02/2018 23:37

I thought the wedding band was worn first then the engagement ring in the outside! So many of you have it the other way round.

Mine’s outing as well, but it’s hammered yellow gold, exactly the same as my husband’s (went for a 4mm width that looked right on both our hands, though there’s only one ring size between us). It was important to us that we had matching rings, as we wanted them to symbolise our partnership.

Tidythatmess · 22/02/2018 23:38

achange yours are absolutely beautiful. I'm obsessed with emerald cuts! did you get those made? love the mix of round and emerald cut.

HappyHopeful · 22/02/2018 23:47

Here's mine - asscher-cut diamonds in platinum. Love them both individually but not entirely sure how well they work together (oops!)

Have filtered my photo because I have corpse-hands Grin

I didn't want a shaped ring. Mine has a twist so it nestled against my e-ring well but not shaped. I also wanted it to be symmetrical.

happy love seeing asschers, you don't normally see them. Are they in your band too? So beautiful!

HappyHopeful · 23/02/2018 07:56

Yes, Tidy, asschers in the wedding band too. I do love them but sometimes I wish I'd gone for something a little more quirky and unusual . . .

I love this thread - so many beautiful rings!

HappyHopeful · 23/02/2018 07:57

Here's a slightly clearer photo . . .

My engagement ring is an antique so didn't fit with conventional wedding bands. I wanted something that looked equally vintage and could be worn as a stand alone ring rather than simply a cut-out wedding band. Couldn’t find one so I had this made in an infinity style and I absolutely love it.

happy it's stunning. I've never seen an asscher band like that, only princess cuts. So it is quite unusual to me.

PragmaticWench · 25/02/2018 15:13

@tigerdog they are stunning!! Really unusual and beautiful.

Oldraver · 25/02/2018 15:36

Oh I'm loving these rings especially the carved one and the flowery cutout.

My ring is from the mid 80's and I caused outrage as I had a 'silver' one white gold
