Help me with my hairstyle please!

As the title suggests, I really need help picking a hairstyle. My hair has been in this bob for years and years. I always ask my hairdresser for a bob like Pandora Sykes or the fashionable shorter hair you see around these days. It never turns out how I want, and it is wonky! Not what I want after I've spent however much on a haircut!

I've attached a photo, so I wanted your advice. What hairstyle do you think might suit me? Are there any ways to make my shorter hair look good, or should I try something totally different? If so, what?

There's nothing else for it then. One way or another you need a new hairdresser even if it means traveling elsewhere.

Have been growing my hair out, but always had a far more stylish and easier to style bob or lob when they cut my hair AFTER they blow dried it. It seemed to stop that wonky-ness where my hair would spring up IYSWIM.

Please please take the clip out. It makes it look very old fashioned and prim. Just taking that out will make a difference.

Don't get layers. It will crate s triangle. You need weight in it and then some texture added through styling (waving wand or texture spray). It will look great a bit mussed up.

Take clip out
Grow it to shoulder length.
Blunt, point cut haircut.
Different hair stylist.

Also consider a fringe. Maybe a side swept one. That would solve the 'hair in face' issue.

Bumble and Bumble Dryspun spray is pretty good for creating light invisible volume with a bit of hold. Not as rigid as hairspray. Spray a bit on the roots at the front when dry and blow dry it to hold it back a bit. Boots sell a trial size can do you don't have to commit to the cost of a full-size.
