I'm not sure pictures of a load of sheep pretending to be sat down calmly eating Dorset cereals because they've been told to elicits any envy from me.

CookingUpAStormTonight · 12/03/2018 17:45

Ain't that the truth Sharper - so, so passive aggressive. And like you I have an image of angry little fingers tap, tap, tapping away. Instagram certainly isn't the place to dare to have an opinion, that's for sure.

I think FOD has pee'd off some of his followers with his adhd joke last week, also doesn't help on the whole dorset cereals thing that there's loads of other 'instafloggers' also promoting it. I like MOD, I think she's pretty cool to be honest, but adverts loose their impact when its for cereal and the family having breakfast image that goes with it, its quite clear the kids have empty bowls and its all staged for show.

easypeasylife · 12/03/2018 18:00

Funnily niper in the video ad this morning they were actually eating the cereal, so they obviously took the 'empty bowls' comments on before. It was a paid partnership post and the 40 comments were all saying how unrelatable FOD is. Clearly the haterz got in first and I can only assume that DC took the ad down.

nipersvest · 12/03/2018 18:16

I reckon that ad campaign has done dorset cereals more harm than good. This is the problem with putting advertising in the hands of inexperienced, unregulated instagrammers.

It'll all be short lived, the bottom will fall out of this sooner or later, instagram will want their slice of the pie and make it harder for content to be seen unless its a paid post, can't blame some of them for trying to make a buck while they can I suppose.

It was mentioned on the thread before that the campaign was done by Saatchi, so its a bit bizarre how it has become so controversial. It's only cereal fgs! I like MOD and FOD actually, I think MOD showed real maturity when she came onto the thread and said that while she had found some of the comments on the instamums thread really hurtful, she had decided to view them as market research and take on board some of the points. I was really impressed with that. I also find it quite sweet that she defends her husband when she thinks people are being unnecessarily cruel to him. Tough though, because it seems like it can sometimes backfire. Sometimes I think Kate Moss gets it right with her 'never complain, never explain' approach to being in the public eye.

Sharperthanasharpie · 12/03/2018 19:02

I have a copy of that mag - didn't realise it was their house! I was getting irritated by the chipped paint on the island which was on the front cover. Lovely house.

Sharperthanasharpie · 12/03/2018 19:07

I feel like you should include that link on the thread though.

Sharperthanasharpie · 12/03/2018 19:07

*don't feel like you should

Fruitbowl2 · 12/03/2018 19:09

Yes a lovely house. The most expensive house sold in Ramsgate for some time. They certainly saw MOD and FOD coming. They'll need to sell a lot more stuff to pay it off.

My gripe with their selling is that Thanet is generally a poor area with a new wave of small businesses and MOD has not mentioned one since moving there in November.

Fruitbowl2 · 12/03/2018 19:10

Why? It doesn't state the location of the house.

Fruitbowl2 · 12/03/2018 19:12

And they have showed every room in their house except Marnie's already in posts and stories.

easypeasylife · 12/03/2018 19:22

They live in Ramagate?! I thought it was rather rough?

CookingUpAStormTonight · 12/03/2018 19:23

Hmm, I wouldn't have shared that link either. It's their house and their house to share as much, or as little, of it as they want, and on their terms.

OP posts:
megansmandstop · 12/03/2018 19:25

The link shows a picture of the house name and 30 seconds later I have the exact house number, road name and postcode. I think the link should be removed asap.

megansmandstop · 12/03/2018 19:27

In fact I've reported it.

HolyMountain · 12/03/2018 19:28

Posting their property details isn’t on, ask for it to be deleted.

Fruitbowl2 · 12/03/2018 19:28

I shared the house to show the decor.

I thought it was quite clear from various previous threads that people knew where they lived and where their kids went to school!

HolyMountain · 12/03/2018 19:30

That doesn’t mean it needs to be shown again.

megansmandstop · 12/03/2018 19:33

People might find out from information MOD/FOD have chosen to share; the consequences of that is their responsibility. No-one else has the right to post it without their permission.

Anyway MOD is active on this thread, so maybe she'll tell you herself whether she's ok with it or not.

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 12/03/2018 19:40

It’s a beautiful house. I only really follow fashion accounts, so hadn’t seen it before, it’s stunning. Probably not the best idea to post that link though TBH!

Fruitbowl2 · 12/03/2018 19:52

Deleted! No need to invite MOD in for a scrap! Didn't notice the house name in the pic.

PavlovaPrincess · 12/03/2018 19:52

the consequences of that is their responsibility

Whilst I wouldn't have shared it, this is the consequences of sharing so much info online. And it's downright scary especially when kids are involved.

PavlovaPrincess · 12/03/2018 19:57

Also, weirdly, FOD's cereal ad has just popped up on my feed, so they haven't deleted it.

The comments are not favourable Confused
