Bra sized swimwear that is as supportive as an actual bar. Does such a thing exist, or am I asking for the moon?

I had visions in the summer of spending the day pottering in the garden in a bikini top and shorts (and sunscreen obviously).

It seems that I can never find anything supportive enough though, I've had Freya in the past and tried another couple of brands from bravissimo (all with underwire) but after a couple of hours my boobs ache....am I asking for the impossible as swimwear is made with softer fabrics?

I would use a plain bra but our gardens are very open (even a bikini top will raise eyebrows tbh).

The only ones I've found that come close are underworked and tie around the back of my neck. Unfortunately the weight tends to make it uncomfortable on my neck after a while :-(

How about Freya Active Swim? It's a swimming sports bra, very supportive.

Or on second thought, why not simply a sports bra? The styles that are designed to be worn as tops. Supportive but not underwear-like.

I have a flirtelle one from Brastop that's mega comfy and I'm a 32JJ

I've tried sports bras but they get quite hot after a while. I'll have a look at freya swim though.

I've read about flirtelle, IIRC they specialise in bra' s with a small back size and larger cup sizes. Thier bikinis look fun!

...which is what I was after, thank you.

Just checked on Brastop, it's the flirtelle Audrey I have. Except I've lost weight and need to sell the top now!
Comes up a little big in the cup but I found it supportive, gave a good shape and the padding helps too

That's good to know, thanks. There a couple that I quite like the look of.

I'm a fan of Hoola. They're really good quality and often have sales.

I’m a 30G and find the Freya Deco bikini tops pretty supportive. That’s what I wear during the day instead of a bra on holiday.
