I started using expensive anti ageing skincare from Estee Lauder last October but after 4 months there was no improvement at all in my skin. Having just about run out I had to decide whether to carry on buying it and give it a bit longer, or try something else. I was really sceptical, but bought Lush Ultrabland cleaner, Full of Grace serum and Enzymion moisturiser. After a week there is a massive improvement - my skin is smooth and more glowy. I also bought Angels on Bare skin for my 11 year old dd who has a few spots and her skin is looking lovely too. I am now in love with Lush and wondered what products you think are worth a try.

Just remembered a shampoo with proper salt lumps in it that was weird but great.

BIG shampoo, they still sell it. I just started using it in the past year. It's great.

EnidButton · 10/02/2018 21:00

Although it doesn't make my hair any bigger.

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 10/02/2018 21:07

Ooh. Going to come back to this thread and make a shopping list.

Ofthread · 10/02/2018 23:08

Miss Eliza, don’t know about whether any of the shampoos would be good but there’s a leave in conditioner thing called R&B, v. Nice. Also henna & something pre wash treatment, really good.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 10/02/2018 23:25

Thanks Enid, I'll add it to my list!

Brighteyes27 · 10/02/2018 23:36

I like it’s raining men shower gel for dry skin, dream cream for dry skin, conditioner think it’s American dream and coconut shampoo (with massive pieces of coconut in) you have to love coconut mind.

worriedsouth · 10/02/2018 23:50

I've not forgiven them for discontinuing Flying Fox shower gel, but I love Rose Jam, Dream Cream and Ultrabland.

Brighteyes27 · 11/02/2018 10:44

The bee soap scrub is lovely before during and after holidays.

Appuskidu · 11/02/2018 14:24

Are the perfumes generally long-lasting?

Worieddd · 11/02/2018 18:49

I just bought a weird serum thing today - full of grace. Anybody tried it?

buddy79 · 11/02/2018 19:40

Their loose powder ‘emotional brilliance!’ is amazing - best I have ever had from any brand, pink not yellow undertone, and the tiny pot lasts ages, quite similar to the bare minerals one but cheaper and better. Dream cream was the best thing I ever had for excema aswell.

Appuskidu · 11/02/2018 22:33

I’ve seen the Grace serum before but was never sure how to use it!

It’s a bar, isn’t it-how do you put it on-with water like soap?!

Curlyshabtree · 11/02/2018 22:37

R&B hair conditioner which I randomly refer to as Hair BnB Grin and I love the shower gel that smells of sherbet pips.

SignoraStronza · 11/02/2018 22:40

I use the serum bar as my normal moisturiser, rub directly on warm skin straight out of the shower (mainly on dry forehead/cheeks) and then smooth around the rest of my face. Lasts for ages.

Worieddd · 11/02/2018 23:21

I’ve just put that bar serum on. It’s lovely. Just warmed it on my hands and rubbed it onto my face.

somethingmustchange · 12/02/2018 08:11

Serum is lovely and after a week my skin is smooth and much more even. Got ocean salt scrub as to exfoliate twice a week and love it. Has anyone tried their makeup? I just LOVE Lush x

santa baby lip stain. It really does stain, doesn't budge, is a lovely pillar box red

Aha, that'll be the lip stain that 12yo DS1 smeared all round his mouth, thinking it was lip balm Grin. I spent a long time trying to scrub it off as we walked up the high street, after catching sight of it and laughing far too much. Still wouldn't come off, so we had to return and ask for some cleanser to get it all off his face Grin

Roomba · 12/02/2018 08:41

I have used Dream Cream for about 15 years and it is fab.

Not forgiven them for discontinuing Tramp shower gel though.

ImCatbug · 12/02/2018 08:57

Honey I washed my hair or Jason and the Argon Oil shampoo bar followed by Big solid conditioner are my absolute favourites for my (very short, thick) hair. Makes it super soft and shiny and smells amaaazing.
Rub rub rub scrub on my legs before/after shaving keeps my skin soft and helps stop the billion ingrown hairs I get.
Dream cream or Charity pot are great light facial moisturisers for my oily skin, and work great as a makeup primer too.
I’m a sucker for the bath bombs and adore Intergalactic, Dragon’s Egg and Experimenter, and the Comforter, Brightside and Unicorn Horn bubble bars make the BEST bubble baths. The bubble bars last me 4-6 baths each too, so much better value than the bombs.
I also really love the Vanillary solid perfume. Smells really lovely, and a tin lasts absolutely forever. A little swipe of it on my neck or run through my hair is enough for the day.

The Angels on Bare Skin sounds as if it would be suitable for my DD too, might invest in that. She's getting spots and I think a slightly scrubby cleanser would help (like me, the red marks from the spots seem to hang around).

lilydaisyrose · 16/02/2018 23:24

I had a wee shopping trip to Lush recently. I love Lush and hadn't been for years but the pushy assistants really bothered me and made the shop far too busy (there was about 12-15 on a random Wednesday in a small store).

I now want lots more though, having been through this thread! I wish they had less sales assistants and cheaper prices!

I really recommend the beautiful smell of Rock Star soap - lush!!

Dream Cream and the Dreamtime bath melt/oil.
Lip Service - saves my lips in the winter.
Helping Hands - I must get a new pot as my hands have been so dry!
Bohemian soap, such a cheerful scent.
Ocean Salt scrub.

I still miss their Gentle Lentil shampoo...
