I started using expensive anti ageing skincare from Estee Lauder last October but after 4 months there was no improvement at all in my skin. Having just about run out I had to decide whether to carry on buying it and give it a bit longer, or try something else. I was really sceptical, but bought Lush Ultrabland cleaner, Full of Grace serum and Enzymion moisturiser. After a week there is a massive improvement - my skin is smooth and more glowy. I also bought Angels on Bare skin for my 11 year old dd who has a few spots and her skin is looking lovely too. I am now in love with Lush and wondered what products you think are worth a try.

The rose jam shower gel! Only out for Christmas so I usually stock up. It's divine and smells amazing.

Ofthread · 09/02/2018 22:36

Big shampoo
Ro’s Argan but very £££ for the time it lasts.
Don’t like ultrabland, can’t get it off properly.
Godiva shampoo bar for holidays
I used to love this shower/massage bar for sleeping but it’s discontinued.
They are a bugger for discontinuing stuff.
Don’t like any of the shower gels.

LegArmpits · 09/02/2018 23:13

Dream cream is excellent for really problematic sensitive skin. Can use it even after leg shaving.

Skin Drink face moisturizer.

EnidButton · 09/02/2018 23:18

Ofthread I can't remove Ultrabland either. Even scrubbing with a hot wet flannel. Glad it wasn't just me as lots of people seem to love it.

CantSleepClownsWillEatMe · 09/02/2018 23:22

Quite a few already mentioned but a particular favourite of mine is H'suan wen hua. It's an amazing hair treatment and leaves my dry hair really soft and sleek. It smells gorgeous too.

I think Lush could do with addressing their image as they're not taken seriously by a lot of people. So many assume they're just about bath-bombs and glittery shit but actually their skincare ranges are very good and they have a lot of products designed to gently treat specific skin problems.

VioletBow · 09/02/2018 23:29

Dream cream - it's one of the only non prescription things that handles my eczema
Ultrabland
Godiva shampoo bar - smells divine
My daughter is in love with fun, which can only be described as soap playdoh
Honey lip scrub
Tooth fairy tooth powder

PleaseDontGoadTheToad · 09/02/2018 23:31

Big shampoo

Retread conditioner. I use this after washing my hair with Big and my hair always looks amazing afterwards.

American Dream conditioner

Scrubee. I love this because it lasts ages and it always leaves my skin feeling nice.

Ro's Argan body conditioner. I use this every shower to moisturize. I like having mostrurised skin but don't like actually applying moisturiser and waiting for it to dry.

Twilight bath bomb, the comforter bubble bar and the milky bath bubble bar.

Their face masks are good too especially the fresh ones but you do have to keep them in the fridge and they have a short shelf life.

It's Raining Men shower gel.

I am a complete lushie Blush

PleaseDontGoadTheToad · 09/02/2018 23:33

Oh yes their lip scrubs. I love the mint julips one and the best thing is is that they're edible so you can pick them off your lips afterwards and they taste yummy Grin

MrsJamin · 10/02/2018 07:47

I am trying to buy more from them as they recycle their plastic pots and you can buy bars that don't have any plastic anyway. Dream cream is great on very dry skin.
The fluffeaze is good, apply for a little while before shampoo for an extra boost. I like the conditioning bar but I'm never that sure how to apply it to my hair.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 10/02/2018 10:07

Herbalism face wash
Ocean Salt scrub
Rose Jam shower gel
Snow Fairy shower gel
Sleepy body lotion
Dream Cream body lotion

my all time favourite product was the sadly discontinued and hugely missed Flying Fox shower gel, it was AMAZING Sad

Greenteandchives · 10/02/2018 10:19

I don’t know much about Lush products but when I was buying Christmas presents in there for my dils I was given a sample of Just for Clarity jelly face mask. I liked it so much I will go and buy the full size. I am interested in MN’s recommendations here, as I would like to try more of their products. Looking in particular for a serum and moisturiser for more mature skin.

They're buggers for discontinuing things Sad

My absolutely favourite shower cream Yuzu and Cocoa was discontinued last year and I'm still very sad. I've been tempted to buy some off eBay but it's stupidly priced (like over double the RRP) and I can't justify it.

LidlAngel · 10/02/2018 11:13

Olive Branch shower gel. Smells amazing

Appuskidu · 10/02/2018 11:37

Is it me of have the prices rocketed though? I’m sure a lot of their bath bombs used to be £2.99 a couple of years ago, and now they’re more like £5!

I still love them though! I don't get the hard bombs but get the softer bubble bars and crumble them into tiny pieces so they’ve last for a month!

strawberries I'd ask for advice in-store. I know the assistants can be very, erm... enthusiastic Wink but they definitely know their stuff and will talk you through the products, let you test it, explain the ingredients, how to use and so on.

YouWereRight · 10/02/2018 12:17

Rose lollipop lip balm is amazing.
Fomo and bunny moon jelly face masks.
Bubble bars, depending on mood, but Blue Skies and fluffy white clouds smells is my favourite.
Soaps are all good. I prefer the ones that come individually, but I like to mix it up.
Imogen Rose, Death and Decay and Lust perfumes are lovely too.

My dd swears by the sleepy lotion. After reading this thread I think I have to go check out some stuff for myself.

MissEliza · 10/02/2018 13:29

I have dry slightly damaged hair. Can anyone recommend a shampoo and conditioner from Lush?

scaredofthecity · 10/02/2018 13:38

I do love lush and everything they represent but their prices have risen so much in the last few years, I can't really afford it anymore.
I do love the honey soap, helping hands and dream cream. Only as a special treat now unfortunately.

EnidButton · 10/02/2018 15:45

Yes their prices are very high. For things like a one off bath bomb it's fine as it's a treat type thing but for anything used regularly I find it expensive for the amount you get. I love the American Cream conditioner but have to use lots per use. It's £17.95 for 475g. I can buy a high end hair conditioner for less than that. Their postage charge jars a bit too.

I still buy it though. 🙄

SmashyCup · 10/02/2018 16:54

Ocean salt scrub
Ultrabland cleanser
American cream conditioner
Big shampoo
Dream cream
Ultrabalm
Therapy massage bar

PerfumeIsAMessage · 10/02/2018 19:45

Re the deodorants- there was one that really worked, it was a solid one and iirc marketed at men, it was yellow and had lemon grass in it.

Just remembered a shampoo with proper salt lumps in it that was weird but great.

I love Lush and I get irrationally protective of them when people bang on about throwing up just walking past. The sales assistants are lovely. I went to the Oxford St store at Christmas after not really having that much from them for a couple of years. I am now totally rehooked (esp after this thread) and am going to put an order in on payday! (wish they bloomin' did offers though- years ago they had a thing one Christmas where whatever you bought, you could choose one item OF ANY PRICE!!!! free. Obviously when i got there they'd only got bombs left, all th £££££s face creams had gone.

Do they still do Shangri-La? That was lovely.

ThursdayLastWeek · 10/02/2018 19:54

Some of the stuff is great value though, like the shampoo bars. They really do last a long time. And the dusting powder I use seems to last ages.

But yes, generally a lot if it is 'treat' stuff.
