Does anyone else have too many coats?

I've done it again - popped into a charity shop in my lunch hour and come out with a beautiful slouchy dark grey harris tweed jacket. It is absolutely gorgeous and a bargain at £25 but I don't need another coat! I can resist any other form of clothing - bags and shoes leave me cold - but when I see a lovely coat that fits and is a bargain then I simply have to have it. Please tell me I'm not alone in my coat obsession.

Yes. And I'm a charity shopper too so it's hard to resist a bargain. I'm not bothered about shoes, bags or clothesin general really but I do love a nice coat!

I tried for years to get the perfect coat. Waterproof, stylish, suits me, looks good with everything.
I realised it didn't exist, and now have many, and love then all.

I've sold/charity shopped half of mine, now I need to buy new. Can't find anything I like the look of.

I need a new raincoat, one casual and one smart, summer army/safari type jacket, a going out jacket, going out coat for mild weather/coldish summer evenings, warm weather raincoat, new black wool coat, new black trench coat. And a couple of blazers, one light coloured, one dark

I do have a lot of clothes but in a few different sizes ,not everything fits me at any one time....except the boots,scarves and bags

Ohhh I have found my people!
I am currently lusting after a Seasalt Tiller coat to add to my vast collection of coats.
Hopefully all the overtime I have next month will make it a reality.
I have 79 pairs of shoes/boots and don't get me started on bags!

I love coats. Think nothing else makes such an instant impression on people.

1 Reiss mauve belted long wool coat
1 cream velvet evening coat (19 30s vintage)
1 Joules green tweed riding jacket
1 Zara brown tweed riding jacket
1 blue ski jacket
1 aqua waterproof jacket from North something
1 cream and black long M&S lightweight coat
3 vintage furs (from my grandmother)
1 Fever green scalloped jacket

Goodness. Imagine how much money I could have saved had I not bought these? Mind you, I do use all of them in frequent rotation and have done so for years.

Ah, and 1 BHS khaki lightweight parka (amazing stuff and was so cheap but has lasted years. Sob. Farewell BHS).

🙋‍♀️ Me too. Haven’t counted but I’ve probably got 30-35, always had a thing about coats. I seem to get a coat in mind I really want ie the perfect leather jacket etc then I end up buying quite a few wrong uns on the way. Or I go through a phase of buying a few different colours in the same style...most of my coats a bit small now so need to lose weight and start WEARING them!

I’ve got about 20 coats. Not including leather jackets...
