In a nutshell: "is fat, hates the fact that she is fat, and tries her hardest to hide, whilst feeling utterly intimidated by all the slim, blonde, immaculate other school mums" sums it up pretty well.

barefoofdoctor · 31/01/2018 20:44

Or 'jazzy cripple" having refused a walking stick instead buying a snazzy pink crutch (I think I'm allowed to say cripple aren't i?seeing as y'know I'm "reclaiming" the word Grin).

'Was a student in the 90s and isn't quite over it yet.'

TossDaily · 31/01/2018 20:55

I'm intrigued as to how a thread like this can have so many deletions??

PsychoPumpkin · 31/01/2018 20:58

Toss,

Me too! What can have been said that was so offensive?!

Dancinggoat · 31/01/2018 21:03

As an ex BF once said - you suit makeup don't you

BulletFox · 31/01/2018 21:15

It was anything which might potentially be offensive, e.g. mental health/homelessness.

I guess someone must have reported it.

I haven't progressed as yet towards looking more presentable but I'm planning on a very thorough shower shortly and putting on lovely new skirt tomorrow, the neighbourhood won't recognise me :)

glitterbiscuits · 31/01/2018 21:22

Is she fat or pregnant?

(Fat ConfusedCake)

Notthesoap · 31/01/2018 21:26

Frank Gallagher is my idol.

Sarahh2014 · 31/01/2018 21:28

Makes an effort

SadieHH · 31/01/2018 21:30

Short, fat, middle aged and poor.

SleightOfMind · 31/01/2018 21:30

Right now?
Hurriedly dressed by a vindictive carer!

HuckfromScandal · 31/01/2018 21:33

Jeezo
Well this is fucking depressing
Wake up women
One life
This one
That is it, when it’s done it’s done, there’s no flipping do over,
If you are happy - great - fabulous
But I have to say, you don’t sound it, Do something
Don’t let life pass you by in miserable clothes and unhappiness
What a fucking waste, I am so so saddened by this thread.

BulletFox · 31/01/2018 21:37

Huck calm down, calm down Grin

Perhaps there is an abundance of scruffiness tonight, at the cold, dark end of January.

I can come back tomorrow and preen at my loveliness after my grooming session if you like?

sourpatchkid · 31/01/2018 21:41

Either "I hate ironing" or "I found a fabric that doesn't need ironing and I'm going to wear it everyday"

faceremovinghairscream · 31/01/2018 21:42

Consistently getting it wrong since 1984.

ScreamingValenta · 31/01/2018 21:42

"Just stepped off the bus from 1992".

Can't Be Arsed

Annabelle4 · 31/01/2018 21:44

I would say 'makes an effort' too. Sometimes I feel I'm actually over dressed, like I'm going somewhere, even though I might be just dropping kids to school Blush

I lost 4 stone a few years ago (at around age 30) and discovered and fell in love with style and fashion. I'm often wearing pencil skirts, heels, dresses, etc. (obviously not dresses and heels for school run)!

I love a crisp blouse tucked into skinny jeans, ankle boots, nice jewellery, my nails done, highlights and cut, eyebrows shaped and tinted.

I always wear makeup too. It literally takes 5 minutes in the morning.

If I'm at home at weekends and not planning on leaving the house I would just wear a loose jumper, jeans, uggs and no makeup. I would feel scruffy and a bit embarrassed if someone calls.

It just makes me feel happier in myself and takes the same amount of time and effort as it did to put on leggings, tunics and trainers etc

HuckfromScandal · 31/01/2018 21:44

I presumed the thread was about people’s style in general, not at this very second 😂
I’m normally well turned out, or in running gear
Right now - messy bun, bra off, t shirt and in bed with socks on,.
I misread - I hope....

Scaredofthegym · 31/01/2018 21:46

I was once called a "soccer mom" by an irate Canadian man. He didn't know me at all so must've been going off my look.

I don't think it was a compliment!

WTFIsThisVirus · 31/01/2018 21:46

I woke up like this

(Literally) lol

Notthesoap · 31/01/2018 21:47

@HuckfromScandal I am getting my bi-annual haircut on Saturday! Hope that makes you feel better Wink
