Best starter Retinol product

I was watching the BBC programme about beauty products and the benefits of using Retinol.

Can anyone suggest a good Retinol product to start with? I understand it's better to use a low dosage product (say 1%) and build up gradually.

Started 3 weeks ago after watching the program. Went straight for prescription stuff off local aesthetic clinic. £38. About 2 days after application I peel slightly but nothing too bad. Currently doing twice a week but will build up to every other night soon

Can you say which prescription stuff and from which site? I've got around to buying spf 50 but the retinol and retinoid stuff not helped by being slightly pissed tonight

I started off with a 0.5% retinol and now I’m on 1.0% retinol. My one comes with a buffer cream so I can weaken (use buffer) or strengthen (no buffer). I love it and seen great results. I also have an eye cream with it in too. Amazing program, very interesting.
