Have been using a Decleor oil which I love but the only one I can find online is a micellar oil ... maybe that’s what I was using but packaging different and I have thrown old one out. Tried the Emma Hardie balm which came in M&S Advent Calendar. Love the scent but it feels as though I’m dragging my skin when I apply it - have watched tutorial and do warm it in my hands etc. Any other recommendations please?

I would like to know this too.

I have been using a local one which is no longer in stock.

Knickerbocker09 · 28/12/2017 20:36

Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil is by far the best I’ve used. It’s amazing!

JessieJams · 28/12/2017 20:42

What does it smell like Knickerbocker?

If you’re after for a makeup remover, I love Lancôme Bi Facil - removes everything.

In terms of Micellar Water, I like La Roche Posay’s. I have also tried the Garnier Micellar water (with oil, for drier skin) which is okay. Eucerin has a nice one too.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil is fabulous - I think it’s a Selfridges Beauty best seller too.

The Vitamin C cleansing oil by Una Brennan is quite nice. Smells orangey.

LaLaLolly · 28/12/2017 20:56

I'm a huge fan of Korean and Japanese skincare and love the DHC oil and Banila Zero (heaven to use)

No 7. I used to use clinique until I discovered the no 7 one. It dissolves eldw using just a couple of drops.

I really like the Elemis Cleansing Balm. Skin feels really smooth after use.

meep87 · 28/12/2017 21:03

Either Sanoflore Aciana Botanica gel which turns into an oil (smells divine), or the Caudalie oil which smells of almonds.

Pajamagirl · 28/12/2017 21:06

Elemis oil
Bit expensive but mine lasted me over a year
Also the clique balm which is solid but goes oily when rubbing it and then rinses away
I have also seen similar in body shop for less £££ but I haven't tried it

Tanaqui · 28/12/2017 21:27

Clarins marula oil cleanser- rubs on like an oil, rinses off like water, smells good.

littleorange · 28/12/2017 21:28

There's an oil cleanser in the Superfacialist line (in Boots) which is about seven quid a bottle and smells like oranges. It's really good at removing waterproof mascara, and it rinses off without a cloth (I use a cloth though as I like the feel). No greasy feel afterwards.

The only downside is that the bottle does NOT travel well and once leaked on a nice blouse in a suitcase Shock

JessieJams · 28/12/2017 22:28

Thank you ... lots for me to google!

Definitely the Una Brennan one, often on offer around the £7 mark in boots, it's brilliant.

ElspethFlashman · 28/12/2017 23:15

I've used the Mac one for years. Lasts ages, smells faintly gingery/Christmas puddingy to me. There's a regular one and one called Tranquil which I've never tried which is soothing or something. You run it into dry make-up and then rinse off.

littleorange seal the liquids in a ziplock bag. Always. Easier said than done.

I had a fancy little 'padded' bag for my entire Ordinary serum kit last trip. Survived flights and train journey, but fell of shelf in bathroom and smashed the lot. Very sad.

Olive or almond oil with a hot washcloth for me. Works a treat!

Bellamuerte · 28/12/2017 23:18

I remove makeup with baby oil. I used to buy the makeup remover bars from Lush (the ones you rub on your face until they melt) but they stopped making them and I couldn't find an alternative :(

BluebellGal · 29/12/2017 00:21

Votary rose geranium cleansing oil - been using it a week (from Liberty AC) it’s amazing but I’ve never used an oil before. Skin feels lovely and very clean

Cakescakescakes · 29/12/2017 00:24

The Una Brennan Superfacialist Vit C oil smells gorgeous!!! So fresh and uplifting. Love it.

And it cleanses really well and emulsifies very nicely when you go over with wet hands before removing with your flannel. No residue.

RubyGoat · 29/12/2017 00:33

I used to use the Una Brennan Vit C (orangey) oil. It's pretty good & smells nice. However the dropper lid is a bit clumsy & messy. I've now discovered Edenens, which is milder smelling, doesn't make such a mess of the sink or the bottle, & seems to go further.

As a makeup remover, I love Lancome Bifacil, (best by miles IMHO) but it's pricey. I switched from my regular waterproof mascara to tubing mascara, so I don't need a waterproof remover any more.

Body Shop Camomile cleansing oil is super, has sorted my temperamental skin out a treat. I use it as the second part of a double cleanse after Lancôme Gel Eclat and it's a great combination, totally non-drying and removes every last scrap of anything.

ktjb39 · 29/12/2017 09:01

No 7 oil is lovely. Smells relaxing and dissolves all make up very quickly.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 29/12/2017 09:03

The boys shop camomile cleansing oil is amazing & really good value!

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/12/2017 09:40

I bought one from simple that's basically grape seed & Vit e to stop it going rancid.

When it's run out I'll buy an organic grapes seed with Vit e online & use that.
