On the whole I don't mind FoD although he does come over a tad smug at times.

He's an Insta favourite and doesn't mind using the children to make a shedload of cash. #easymoney#whynotitsfortheirfuture#bighousetopayfor.

I downloaded Mother Pukkas book onto my Kindle as I like her and it was cheap, but tbh I'm struggling with it. It's only half finished. The miscarriage bits are obviously v sad, but there's a lot of repitition ( basically she tells her version of events and then he does and they even use the same jokes barely two pages apart).

Btw was howling with second hand embarrassment at The Harridans account of meeting MP at a promo wreath making Insta-exercise and being all fan girl and MP basically giving no fucks.

I was wondering what the book was like.

I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for MPukka.

I've followed both these threads for ages, it has been a fascinating read.

I've not read her book. She's another one I like, actually. She's open about gifts and shit.

I think you can, it’s just an unfortunate side effect of sometimes doing sponsored content that readers might not take it at face value.

I think you can too. But the downside of getting free stuff is when you genuinely ask for suggestions and/or experiences, some will read into that.

I really want veneers too

You have 4 children (who I assume see a good dentist you’re happy with) and a wealth of medical professional contacts you could get advise from regarding this.

Hey, I don’t blame you for milking the Insta train but you do need to get a thicker skin.

We’ve just moved to a new area and embarrassingly haven’t found a new dentist yet. When I was suffering with my skin I did lots of stories on Instagram talking about the issue asking for advice. From that I found a wonderful dermatologist who I paid for and had a great experience. It’s the same thing. Also veneers are so controversial lots say go for it lots say don’t do I’m interested to hear on others experiences CIA 😬 also I wouldn’t in a million years do a sponsored post on teeth whitening/veneers

@anyalovesrose your skins posts were really good. I'm sure they were hard to do but the improvement is great.

I feel sorry for MPukka because the advocacy she's doing is great but it's a long slog and won't be solved overnight or by the sort of action she's taking - Mum flash mobs are fun but... don't really get you anywhere. Women have been talking about flexible working for years and it's a slow process.

I'm not sure if she wants to get back to "proper" work though. Also I think she's struggling with her post baby body as well and when you're in the "public eye" that can be hard.

Oh grief - I really am a sad middle aged creature who shouldn't be lurking on S&B. Didn't know what veneers are and had to Google them. Now a bit confused - do you have to clean them like regular teeth or something different.........

Apparently they drill your teeth down to stubs! Then drill a fake tooth into the stub the whole thing sounds horrendous and I’m really dentist phobic so my research is steering me away. Also terrified of looking like someone from TOWIE 😬

@Wipsglitter, I also admire MP for the flexible working stuff she is doing. It was only after I had a child that I recognised a glass ceiling existed, before that I thought it was a load of bollocks. I also disagreed with board quotas and things like that but now I am firmly in favour because things will only change when change is forced to happen. She looks more than capable of living off sponsored posts and freelance work based on her instagram though, and I admire the fact that she wants more than that and there is more substance to her IG (though obviously for all bloggers, having a niche helps). Fourth interview for a job she wants though? Companies are crazy, her CV is out there for everyone to see in her book and IG page. She obviously hugely talented. Why companies make people like her jump through a million hoops to get a job I just don't know.

Is that was what she was doing today? A job interview?

She said she had one today on her last post. Did she story it? I'm bored of stories and all the yakking on so hardly watch them now.

Fourth interview. Bananas. Honestly, my enthusiasm for any job would be well gone by now.

Mine too. I wouldn't want to work for any company that was that idiotically indecisive or which obviously thrived on red tape and "process".

I’ve been wondering if the interview is for something really big time, like presenting women’s hour?
