Yes they are Flea, I dont think you can watch them after 24hours

Eloisethedog · 24/01/2018 09:59

Yes, same here Elspeth. Her attitude to disclosing gifts is horrible i.e. you must trust that I wouldn't use/review/rave about something I didn't really LOVE.

As is the continuous pimping of her son on her stories. He's what, 5? Awful.

pinkhousesarebest · 24/01/2018 12:32

I love CLTS and actually find that her choice is very consistent. Her insta stories make me laugh.

Ithasbeenalongtime · 24/01/2018 13:24

I had a quick look yesterday to see what comments had been made on the bag but there were dozens of instastories on there and the first 5 were a running commentary of all the crap stuff she had in her handbag 😳. I gave up. I think if you are going to mix gifts and self bought stuff without any disclosure people may start commenting (I didn’t see what was said though).

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 24/01/2018 13:42

She was out shopping. She spotted a bag at half price, left it, went back for it, bought it and then got messages. Nobody has the right to criticise what people spend their own money on.

FleaRiddenScruffBag · 24/01/2018 13:55

Ah ha - I found CLTS. She is very, very pretty. She is another jogger and actually she said one very sensible thing....... "if I am not making you happy, then don't follow me." I think that is pretty sound advice......... but ..... I am quite enjoying blog watch so I can have opinions about how the retailers I give my money to are lavishing it on people who don't then disclose it.

WipsGlitter · 24/01/2018 14:05

Looks like Cefinn (Samantha Cameron's) label is getting on on the act - WIT thinking them for the presumably free dress. Noticed Sam Cam was more active on insta - guess they're not going well and are trying to build the brand via "influencers".

Also the one roof social event (Anna Harte) looks like only wine in the audience!! Wannabe influencers!

WipsGlitter · 24/01/2018 14:08

Women not wine in the audience!

DillyDilly · 24/01/2018 14:12

I see MOD has previewed her latest book - it’s an illustrated journal covering the weeks of pregnancy where you can write your own weekly thoughts with some words of wisdom included from herself.

I had thought she seemed to write that book pretty quickly, now I know why.

Ithasbeenalongtime · 24/01/2018 15:46

The oneroofsocial twitter feed is a useful insight to what they are discussing. Disclosure of ads, HMRC and influencers being aligned with ads discussed so far. They are talking about Pinterest as well (which I love) but mentioning integrated links to buy product (No thank you).

Quite like that Cefinn dress, but would never buy anything from Sam Cam for obvious reasons!

AdiosPeaceOfRoast · 24/01/2018 16:04

I’ve noticed Grenson shoes are suddenly everywhere but seems like they’re buying them, which is weird.

thesaurusgirl · 24/01/2018 16:56

Haven't got time to contribute to this thread but the blogger formerly known as What I Bought Today (Shit They Sent for Free) has been making me chuckle for days with her IG stories. She claims to have got a First from university and I'm absolutely dying to know the name of the institution because her blog is so badly written, I can only think it was Clown School.

We unmasked AB as a fantasist on the WIT thread that LF referenced in her farewell post, didn't we?

I'm amazed marketers don't seem to know or care about hatefollows. So many of these women have such poor engagement levels it's the only explanation - we're watching them and snickering at their delusions in the main.

AdiosPeaceOfRoast · 24/01/2018 17:14

Who’s AB?

Pupsiecola · 24/01/2018 17:15

One of few I follow is The Anna Edit. She has posted on her story about her Loewe bag. It's 1.7k! Perhaps she's disclosed it somewhere (I don't religiously read all posts) but surely that's a gift?!

Ithasbeenalongtime · 24/01/2018 17:21

@thesaurusgirl, agree that engagement levels are really low on some bloggers, I am amazed brands don't appear to be bothered by this. Another explanation is fake/purchased follows - there is one in particular I am pretty confident has done this. You can tell by the slightly bizarre followers amongst the legit ones, along the lines of Moroccan teenage boys with a penchant for selfies Hmm

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 24/01/2018 17:28

Pretty sure The Anna Edit paid for her bag with her own cash! And yes it’s a lot of money, but if I could afford one I’d be all over it!

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 24/01/2018 17:30

Adios, think it’s anneli bush?

Ithasbeenalongtime · 24/01/2018 17:36

@Pupsiecola, I had a look and she says she bought it. In the comments it says she sold a couple of other bags as well so maybe used the money from that. I suppose it comes back to the point that IG can create unachievable aspirations for a lot of people, where it seems normal to spend £1.7k on a bag. It may be a lot easier to afford if you have been given your new winter coat, several pairs of trainers, a new tumbler drier, your athleisurewear, your going out dress and your cashmere jumpers for free, sure.

ABuckToothedGirlinLuxembourg · 24/01/2018 17:40

She did sell two bags, but she donated that money to charity.

Pupsiecola · 24/01/2018 18:12

Wow. If she bought it good for her. I was just surprised as I know she is newly married, back from a month in New Zealand and doing up a flat.

Housewife2010 · 24/01/2018 18:17

Have you noticed that Jo Malone have started sending all the bloggers gifts with a "Just Because" label. They arent the latest releases but are pretty generous gifts which their customers are paying for. A couple of people have started complaining about it on Jo Malone's Instagram today.

DillyDilly · 24/01/2018 19:00

I suspect the beauty companies must gift a huge amount to bloggers - there’s a lot of fashion bloggers suddenly becoming interested in make-up and showcasing what make-up they wear. And a lot are dreadful at applying said make-up.

The amount of Nars (think it was NARS?) products AB was gifted earlier in the week was ridiculous. Was it Bobbi Brown that gifted a similar haul to lots of bloggers a few months ago,

anyalovesrose · 24/01/2018 19:03

@dillydilly
What a shame you feel the need to continue to criticise someone’s hard work. Do you really think comments like that don’t upset or hurt the people your discussing?

Ithasbeenalongtime · 24/01/2018 19:10

Hard work being the application of make up or opening of gift boxes? 😳

anyalovesrose · 24/01/2018 19:13

@itsbeenalongtime
I was actually referring to the hard work it takes to write (2) books @dillydilly comment about my book was really hurtful
