Here's a new thread as the old one is getting very full Xmas Grin

Its over . I've run out of Gatineau 😣 was fun while it lasted. Back to Aldis own day cream.

Also is any one elses face book feed full of spoilers? There is some M and S marketing with all the products in the advent calendar plus some others I assume are gonna turn up in the next few days. 😒

MelanieCheeks · 16/12/2017 11:33

I'm in my 50s and I find black mascara doesn't look good on me. I prefer brown or navy.

HotSteppa · 16/12/2017 11:33

Ha ha Trills

Also no interest in hairspay. Was surprised by another mascara. Hope it's a bit more dramatic than the last one.

happypoobum · 16/12/2017 12:55

peppers your DH sounds a treat Sad Haggard indeed!!!! I am in my fifties and look OK fabulous in black eyeliner and mascara. Navy is fun sometimes.

I won't use the hairspray - have very thick curly hair which doesn't really need it. DD might like it though.

Hot No - my facebook doesn't have an M&S spoiler feed or anything. Have you been talking about it? The mic on your phone may be picking up what you say and that will affect your FB adverts.

Thanks guys. It stung a bit when he said it.

I'm going to try brown. I have blonde hair so perhaps black is too dramatic.

Commiserations HotSteppa. Is the difference with regular moisturizers really justifying of the price point, do you reckon? Let me know how different it feels going back to Aldi. I use Lidl normally.

Redact · 16/12/2017 13:03

Pleased with both the mascara and hairspray. Not that I would ever pay the full price for the normal size spray but it's a good brand and I really like their Wonderbalm that was in last Year’s M&S advent calendar. Been pleased with most things, but passed on the lip gloss to DS GF and the nail varnish to DFriends DD as the colours did not suit me.

Trills · 16/12/2017 13:17

You can click in the top right of any Facebook ad or post that you see and say "I don't want to see this".

chloechloe · 16/12/2017 13:51

Just marking my place on the new thread!

I get a bit surprised by some who seem to be meaning about not liking certain items. What are the chances you'll like all 25 things? Pretty small! But the price is so reasonable that it's still good value even if there are several bits you won't use.

peachypips · 16/12/2017 14:03

I wear hairspray when I curl my hair- did it this morning and is holding fine so far. Not as solid as others which is nice!

Really like the mascara. That will be a purchase for me.

AwkwardSquad · 16/12/2017 14:20

I’m hoping for some primer, hand cream and / or cuticle treatment in the next few days.

Tentomidnight · 16/12/2017 16:23

The hairspray looks pretty, but I will regift it as I din't use it.

I was hoping for a miracle product this morning to haul my hangover face back into the land of the living!

BringMeTea · 16/12/2017 17:10

It’s not that colours other than black mascara are ageing nor is it that black is ageing, it’s all about your own colouring and what suits you best.

However Peppers your dh should apologize for such unkindness.

FedupNagging · 16/12/2017 17:41

I occasionally use hairspray to keep an 'updo' in place & have run out so today's will save me buying one.

Am happy with yesterday's mascara and will use. Can't remember who said they need to stop using black eyeliner and mascara - black can be harsh so I use grey eyeliner, usually a charcoal grey but still use black mascara.

I'm not too fussed about the Emma Hardie cleansing balm so happy to swap it with someone - preferably with someone who wants to offload the gatineau moisturiser or rose night cream. tries not to beg In my defence, I have ahem mature skin which needs all the help it can get. Happy to throw in the makeup sponge thingy too!

BlueEyedWonder · 16/12/2017 19:29

I’m going to admit I got a bit fed up with this year’s calendar and DD and I opened all the remaining doors together the other night. No spoilers though, I promise!
As I’ve said before, I just haven’t enjoyed it as much as I did last year’s. But it’s still been worth the money as I’ve loved the following:
The dragons blood
The face peel
The cleansing balm
The hairspray
The lip colour

YesThisIsMe · 16/12/2017 23:23

Tried the perfume this morning - it smelled good going on but was horrific on me after a while, so I’m definitely up for swapping it with almost anything else except the lipnotgloss or beauty blender. Can’t wait for tomorrow morning when I can scrub it off in the shower.

SymphonyofShadows · 17/12/2017 06:37

I like the perfume but when I told DP what it was called he looked a little confused then asked me to repeat the name. He'd misheard it as 'Blubber Rage' at first, which amused me no end.

I'm curious about today's, it's not something I'd usually buy but I'm keen to try it.

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 17/12/2017 07:02

Oooo I'm excited about today's. Very happy! I've been wanting to try stuff from this brand for ages.

snowflakestar · 17/12/2017 07:38

Happy with today's as REN is a nice brand. I've bought many of their products in the past (cleansing products, face masks) but I haven't tried this.

Spangles7 · 17/12/2017 07:53

Yay! I'm always sampling their AHA serums , hope this is just as good!

Pengweng · 17/12/2017 08:01

I didn't get on with the ren night cream last year. It was far too rich and I didn't like the scent but this looks more promising so willing to give it a try.

Nagging I have PMd you re swaps.

AmethystMoon · 17/12/2017 08:30

I like REN, so happy with this one. I think this may have been in last year’s calendar?
Not complaining though as I feel tired this morning after a late night, so need help!
Thankfully no wine miscalculation involved though as I was driving....so not too haggard Xmas Grin

YouWereRight · 17/12/2017 09:26

I like REN, and I've not tried this, so double win.

I've not tried everything from the calendar yet. I'm trying to space them out so I can work out what I like, so todays will have to wait for a while.

bagelbaby · 17/12/2017 09:39

Just caught up with Part Two thread and am perplexed to see you all talking about a second mascara. I haven't had it
Runs off to check calendar!

WindyWednesday · 17/12/2017 10:10

All these peels and what not are making my skin so dry. I’d love a moisturiser. The anti aging ones aren’t cuttin it with the winter skin.

Anymajordude · 17/12/2017 10:19

My skin is looking so much better since using all these lotions and potions. I particularly like the rose night masque and the Gatinaux youth cream.
