Here's a new thread as the old one is getting very full Xmas Grin

I think it's really obnoxious to say "21-25 are all crap" and I also think that a person who thinks they are all rubbish is not a person whose opinions I hold in high regard,

AwkwardSquad · 21/12/2017 05:25

I’m really pleased with today’s treat; I’ve looked it up and it sounds just what I need right now.

Xmasbaby11 · 21/12/2017 06:54

I've already put this on! It feels nice and it's easy to put a small amount on.

My skin is dry this time of year so I'm enjoying layering all the skincare products. Lots of rose scented things!

panicovernow · 21/12/2017 06:56

I’m intrigued by today’s. I have never used a face oil before, have read some reviews and they are very positive. I’m really enjoying this calendar and love trying products I don’t even know I needGrin

Sparkletastic · 21/12/2017 06:58

Today's is lovely. Perfect for a bedtime skin routine. What was that person going on about saying rest were disappointing?! It's fairly obvious what the 25th's is but I don't mind that as a) Handy and b) Christmas Day so lots of other gifts to come. Xmas Smile

AmethystMoon · 21/12/2017 07:25

Today’s looks interesting, I’ve not really tried anything like this.
There seem to be a few grumpy people on the thread...no problem people not liking a product on a thread like this but why get all negative and piss on others’ joy? Xmas Hmm
Its an advent calendar....a bit of fun, you know?

SymphonyofShadows · 21/12/2017 07:33

I've opened the rest of mine now as I realised what 25 was. I'm very happy with the rest, one of the things is something I use a lot.

Kez0777 · 21/12/2017 07:42

I personally think everything has been really good so far. There had been a few bits that I won’t use like the first lip thing and both nail varnishes (even though I’m a nail varnish addict Grin) but it’s never going to appeal to everyone everyday. And I’m a very young 40 Wink but it’s never to early to start using anti aging products. It’s my 2nd year and I’ll be buying again next year Xmas Smile

wellthatsjustgreat · 21/12/2017 07:44

I am still holding out hope for an eye cream/treatment, lip balm & hand cream.
Today's offering is definitely not my cup of tea - I can't stand anything rose scented plus, I have oily skin.
There hasn't been anything yet that i would buy again but I am really enjoying the calendar and this thread. It's been great fun trying out all of the new products. Undecided as yet if I'd buy again next year - lets see what 22-24 has to offer Smile

Invisimamma · 21/12/2017 08:01

I probably won’t use today’s as I don’t like the idea of adding oil to my already oily and spot prone face. But I’ve been very happy with the rest of the calendar with the exception of a few things but that’s to be expected!

I’m going to remove my shellac today or tomorrow so will finally try the nail varnish.

runwalkrun · 21/12/2017 08:04

Finally!

A good quality, no nonsense, non gimmicky, easily absorbed, does the job, suits most skin types facial cream.

runwalkrun · 21/12/2017 08:06

Oh no. Wait! I must have been dreaming. It's a weirdly scented OIL. Just what my skin needs Hmm

mowglik · 21/12/2017 08:08

Can’t believe a pp said that 21 was shit, I’m so pleased with today’s. I have oily skin but I love facial oils, the right oils also go some way to reducing the grease for me.

I didn’t realise there was a 25, and how did people guess what it is?? Will go and have a look for the box.

I’ve been really happy with everything more or less, don’t use nail polish so much but will give the gold one a go for xmas

An eye cream and maybe a couple more make up bits would be ideal now.

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/12/2017 08:10

I’ve found that the Stila lip colour (which makes me think of Tracey Ullman’s Angela Merkel character and her “warm flesh” lipstick) is great as a base for something brighter, as it makes your lippy of choice last for ages.

The gloopy lip gloss is going to teen daughter.

mowglik · 21/12/2017 08:10

A rose facial oil people! - it doesn’t get treatier than that! Xmas Grin if it doesn’t suit your facial skin use it on dry bits elsewhere since it’s in a handy roller ball.

rookiemere · 21/12/2017 08:25

I’m very happy with today’s offering. I love facial oil and I love rose based skin care.

Just as well really as an entire fingers worth of glittery Nailpolish has fallen off leaving me looking really tatty looking on the way into work.

SymphonyofShadows · 21/12/2017 08:26

mowglik I guessed what it was as I glimpsed it in the store last month while I was waiting at a till. The cashier was asking the person at the till if they wanted the calendar and whipped out a tray with the contents on. I looked away but I saw some things accidentally, including day 25.

wildbuttercup · 21/12/2017 08:32

Attention

Boots currently has half price on selected Nip + Fab products!! For those of you that loved the Rodial, their similar product is on offer! £9.97!

LoniceraJaponica · 21/12/2017 08:37

I have never used facial oil before. I'm always afraid that I will end up with a grease slick on my face. I might use it on my legs which are very dry. My face is normal/combination and I would need convincing as to why I should use this product on it.

Any advice anyone?

MrsPestilence · 21/12/2017 08:41

If you like this make and are thinking of refilling the AC boxes - Check out this pile of little sizes on the balance me site.

If you don't like oil on your face, use it on your cuticles.

TheLuminaries · 21/12/2017 08:54

Yay, just delighted with todays! Plus it means I can safely ignore Peonies mean little attempt to put a downer on it for everyone as her opinion is worthless. This is my fave so far.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 21/12/2017 08:56

Mmm, this smells lovely. I will definitely try it this evening. I'm a bit cautious with facial oil as even though I have very dry skin I find that oil tends to make my pores look larger.

Kochicoo · 21/12/2017 09:00

I'm really happy with today's too. I use facial oils underneath my night cream, sometimes put a tiny drop on my cheeks underneath my foundation and if you have any of those peel off masks, putting oil on your face before putting one on really makes your skin glow.

chloechloe · 21/12/2017 09:08

Objectively speaking this is a good product and I'd be happy with it had I not a zillion other facial oils (they last forever so I never finish them).

Thanks to the thread though I'll try rolling it on elsewhere - brilliant idea!

I have a suggestion! It's nearly Christmas, let's be jolly for the last few days and avoid moaning for whatever reason (don't like the product / alleged spoilers etc etc). Who's in?

This is my first M&S calendar and I'll be getting it next year as it's a bargainous way to stock up on stuff.

AmethystMoon · 21/12/2017 09:19

The positivity is back, whoop! Xmas Grin

To those with oily skin worried about today’s, I’d try it as I have found putting oil on seems to stop my skin pumping out a tonne of its own!
