Have just got DD's out, she has...

Jemima Puddleduck
Tom Kitten
Peter Rabbit
A toad (another Beatrix Potter one, can;t remember his name)
A cat
A pink enamelled nappy pin
A pink enamelled butterfly
An enamelled cupcake
A cinderella carriage
A number 2 (for her 2nd birthday)

All silver. I'd have loved my Mum to have done something like it for me when I was growing up

NomDePlume · 23/04/2007 19:11

the cinderella carriage is a pumpkin. I think it's prob my fave

DH got me a couple of These .

One has the names of our children on it, and the other has a few charms to signify birthdays, wedding anniversary etc.

I think I got one for mothers day and another for valentines

I've got a silver one from when I was a child. Just hunted it out from my knicker drawer!

It's got

cinderella slippers
frog
keys
treasure chest
love birds on a perch
butterfly
stork
elephant
owl
globe
hedgehog
heart

Oooh I've regressed to my childhood!

PanicPants · 23/04/2007 19:22

Tried to get it on, but it's not big enough anymore

fuzzywuzzy · 23/04/2007 19:31

I have one with five charms on it (I think). Twas a present from my husband who had instructed my mother to get a pretty bracelet for a birthday (many moons ago).... I loathe it but it was a gift and he did put a lot of thought into it, I did want a bracelet at the time just not a charm bracelet, my mother knew I don't like charm bracelets but went ahead and bought it anyway.......

I would love a charm bracelet as my mum had one when I was little and I loved it but wondered do most high street jewellers sell cahrms and how much does it cost to get a charm added to a bracelet?

PanicPants · 23/04/2007 20:10

littlelapin - thats a good idea.

Is it the done thing to wear charm braclets (proper ones, that you buy charms for) now?

Or is it a fashion no no?

UtterPigsty · 23/04/2007 20:11

well i wear mine a lot

JoanCrawford · 23/04/2007 20:14

NomDePlume, where did you get them from, they sound wonderful?

tasja · 23/04/2007 20:19

I've got one. My mum gave me one when I was about 12. I have a key, heart-ancker-cross, shoe, dove, bike, angel, scissors, doll, car. Now that I look at it it is not alot. Hmmmm..... will go and get some more over the weekend!
I bought my DD (11months) a charm bracelet for christmas with her first charm - a dummy - and I'm going to give her a charm every christmas eve.
