Yes. I have one from a jeweller called James Avery. It's silver and I've got tons of charms now.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 20/04/2007 21:01

I have one that my friends who I used to babysit for got me on my 16th birthday and they bought me lots of charms for it over then next few years. I haven't worn it for a long time but I like it. 5 of the charms were the letters of my name.

It's full of Elizabeth Duke charms though so you lot will probably sneer at it.. .. well most of you...

my godmother gave me one and added to it, and i am doing same for my goddaughter> i gave her a new bracelet with her initial, then I picked up a couple of vintage bracelets which i plunder for the charms.

I have a silver one I've had since I was a child. It's absolutely full of charms and I try to buy a new one every time I visit somewhere. Recent buys were an ice cream cone from Brighton, a tropical fish and a Ankh from Egypt and a gondolier from Venice. My favourite charm is probably an owl my dad got me from Greece, but I absolutely love everything on it, and many have special memories for me. One thing I'd like to know is can you get the little silver rings from anywhere to hook the charms onto the bracelet as I have some that have been pre-soldered so can't add them myself?

I have a lovely gold one, it's about the most valuable piece of jewellery I own. I've always always wanted one, and DH bought it for me soon after we met. I love getting charms from different countries if we go on holidays, and when DH gets me one for Christmas and birthdays.

Have to remember charms as my friend took my bracelet for a repair for me:

teddy bear
Maltese cross
heart
poodle
horseshoe
rocking chair
gardening tools set
top hat
bar of gold
wrapped sweet
rabbit
stork carrying baby
shamrock
bootees
Cornish pisky
faith hope and charity

I've probably forgotten a couple.

Some are significant ie Maltese cross and faith hope and charity from our honeymoon in Malta, bootees and stork from when I was pregnant, rabbit when newly in love

I've got mine from my childhood too, but don't wear it atm. Have also got one of the Trollbeads ones Whizzz linked to, and love that, but still need more beads to put on it. Need to make an updated list of which ones I want and leave it around in an obvious place.

UtterPigsty · 23/04/2007 17:07

well get em out and dust 'em off. They look so great.

JackieNo · 23/04/2007 17:08

Califrau - I've got a Welsh girl and a harp, and a Welsh dragon too. ALso a dachshund, a donkey and a ballerina. Still waiting to be put on after about 25 years in my jewellery box are a pair of ballet shoes, a swiss cow bell and a small elephant.

UtterPigsty · 23/04/2007 17:08

i have a gibraltar ape

JackieNo · 23/04/2007 17:09

I think I need to have some links added to mine - it was sized for a child/teenager's wrist, and will only just do up, so not v comfortable.

Whizzz · 23/04/2007 17:10

JackieNo - the Pandora beads fit the Troll bracelet too
I made the mistake of not writing a list of beads I wanted for my birthday & got 3 from DH/DS - 2 of which had to be returned to to a complete lack of relevance (me thinks men miss the point !)

I have a plain one from Tiffany's but the girls now add to my childhood silver one when we go to new places. My charms were all musical as I was a budding musician back then.

saffy202 · 23/04/2007 18:54

I've got a Links of London one with a cocktail glass, a duck (not sure why - dh picked that one!) a flip flop, a red heart, a mobile phone, a boy (for my 2 boys) Want the ballet shoes next!

mumto3girls · 23/04/2007 18:57

I have an old silver one that my Grandad bought me for my 18th..it's lovely, but sooo heavy..the charms are huge.
They include a church ( that when you open it there are a couple getting married and pews)..a genies lamp with a crosslegged genie inside..a vw beetle that opens and shows the seat and steering wheel..and loads loads more..about 30 charms in total.

DrMarthaMcMoo · 23/04/2007 18:59

I have a Pandora bracelet - I think I've got 6 beads so far. I've got a couple of glass ones, a silver spacer, a couple of silver ones, and one like a little bow-wrapped present which my Mum got me for Christmas.
