I need feminine ankle or knee high boots that I can walk 30 minutes to a train station in daily that will last

Once again my boots have died on me. I desperate for some quality feminine shoes that will last and that I can walk in. I am so so fed up of my boots falling apart on me or wearing trainers and carrying my other footwear with me. I don't always work in the same place so it's not feasible to leave a pair of "nice " shoes at work and I thought I might get a bargain this weekend.

Can anyone help?

Following.
Why can't places make shoes that are actually y'know designed to be walked in and last longer than 5 minutes?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2017 22:33

Clarks? Their boots tend to have a pretty decent life span.

handmademitlove · 24/11/2017 22:33

Try Hotter for really comfy wear all day boots...

Marley45 · 24/11/2017 22:38

Aldo do great comfy leather boots

motmot · 24/11/2017 22:52

I know it's a bit counter intuitive but have a look at Dr Martens. They have some more 'feminine' styles not just their classic stompy boots. And they're built to last and are comfy (I have heard some people need to break them in but that's not been my experience)

I bought Ugg Wilcox last winter and I absolutely love them. They are so comfy I can walk in them all day long. They are warm but not too hot (I hate hot feet!) If they gett mud splashes I just wipe with a damp cloth. They are still going strong for this winter - I get both colours as I love them so much Smile

Fly London are designed for walking...

witchofzog · 25/11/2017 11:03

Ooh I love the UGG Wilcox boot. I would never have thought of Uggs. And they are in the black Friday sale so only £90 from £170 Smile. Where do you live Purple ? I am on my way to give you a huge kiss! Oh and before I do can I ask if they come up small or big? I am a size 6 or 7 depending on the shoe.

And I love these too

I need boots that will go with skinny jeans and leggings and also long sleeve dresses if possible as I have just bought a few of these for the winter. Which one would go better. The UGGWilcox or the Hotter Mystery boot?

I did think of doc martens as I used to love them and I know they last forever. But I can't see any I like on their website. I am still undecided about Fly London

The Ugg Kesey are in the sale on the UGG website too. They look perfect for walking and fairly smart too. GIFT3 for an extra 3 off what is already discounted.

I’ve just ordered the Ugg Wilcox from Office at £89. Similar to you I need warm comfortable boots that I can walk in, my last proper leather boots from Ugg lasted 4 winters of heavy use so I have high hopes. I take 6.5 to 7 normally so I’ve order the 7.5 as I think they come up a little small.

Oldraver · 25/11/2017 11:53

I love the UGG boots but have a few bikery boots...

Did anyone else get at the Hotter ones...100 people looking at this now. I always wonder if they figure why the viewing figures suddenly go up

PaperdollCartoon · 25/11/2017 11:56

I wear my Ted & Muffy knee highs everywhere - from the office to walking around fields. They’re so comfy and smart.

TheLegendOfBeans · 25/11/2017 11:57

Please take a look at Clarks!

My “everyday” boots I bought 7 years ago and are still going strong.

The “glam school run” boots are now 10 years old as they have a higher heel and are worn less.

Clarks boots are the bloody don. Worth every penny.

Hotter boots are great for walking in and look quite good

TheHoundsofLove · 25/11/2017 12:00

I bought the Ugg Wilcox boots last year and absolutely love them - they have been like slippers from the moment I put them on and look fab with skinny jeans and leggings. I'm normally a 5.5 to 6 and the 6.5 fit me perfectly.

Caulk · 25/11/2017 12:02

I always buy fly. Never any issues. They have a wide range so it’s worth looking around - out local independent sells very different stock to amazon or schuh.

GinPleaseOrTen · 25/11/2017 12:05

Clarks Caddy Belles are knee high and they have 20% off this weekend. I absolutely love mine!

RosaDeZoett · 25/11/2017 13:15

I second fly boots, I have bad feet and struggle with pain by the end of the day, but never have pains from clarks shoes in summer and fly boots in winter

I ordered the Wilcox yesterday in the Office sale. I don’t like the look of the hotter boots.

witchofzog · 25/11/2017 14:37

I have had a look at Clark's and I quite like these

www.clarks.co.uk/c/Matron-Ella/p/20355292

The UGG boots have sold out in my size and are £108 now on the office website. I love the Hotter boots but after reading reviews they may not suit me as I have wide calves and these stop on the calf which, in my experience, make my legs look even chunkier.

I think these Clark boots might be the most versatile with dresses, skinnies and leggings. What do you think?

Clarks for me. Bought the orinoco boots just over a year ago and I wear them pretty much every day with skinny jeans. i'm a size 8 wide and they fit (and stretch) with wear. very comfortable.

witchofzog · 25/11/2017 14:41

Except they are also sold out in my size. The website showed availability in my size until I asked for wide fit as opposed to extra wide. Gah! I am getting really annoyed now. I thought finding boots would be easier than this
