I need feminine ankle or knee high boots that I can walk 30 minutes to a train station in daily that will last

Once again my boots have died on me. I desperate for some quality feminine shoes that will last and that I can walk in. I am so so fed up of my boots falling apart on me or wearing trainers and carrying my other footwear with me. I don't always work in the same place so it's not feasible to leave a pair of "nice " shoes at work and I thought I might get a bargain this weekend.

Can anyone help?

Would second looking at Clarks and Fly boots. I have had extreme issues with my feet in recent years (wearing super flats - ballet pumps - as a mother), compounded by pounding the (largely very uneven) pavements for two hours a day, on the school run, for too many years to count. However, I've recently reverted to wearing heels (for someone with fallen arches, flats have been my undoing) and find that I can find affordable, comfortable and flattering boots/shoes in both ^ ranges - obvs not all styles suit or would pass fashion police parade but generally enough choice to satisfy style and comfort.

Good luck!

FLY London are super comfortable every time!!!!

I find Clarks very good quality and value. Shame their pumps are mostly so fugly these days but their brogues and boots can’t be beaten.

I walk miles and miles each week (school run, meetings all over the city) and I wear Hotter Mystery boots all winter. I have a tan pair and a chocolate pair and they are great. So comfy and last ages. Just got another tan pair in the Black Friday sale.

PNGirl · 25/11/2017 16:27

I wear these almost every day.

I have the hotter ones! I wear them every day to work (teacher) and they are great-really warm and dry. I had a previous pair that lasted two winters of heavy use and then replaced them with identical ones when they died the death. They are so comfy. I also have normal UGGs and love them too, but can’t wear them to work as they’re not smart enough.

Dying at @witchofzog connecting to (Mads?) from a-Ha instead of some boots Grin

PortlyWino · 25/11/2017 16:43

I might have accidentally ordered the hotter boots despite having no plans at all to buy any footwear this afternoon.Blush I'm with OP that I need comfy boots for commuting and I only have a suede pair at the moment which would not be ideal if it snows.

Well I have bought the Elvina boots I linked to earlier because I think they will go with more and because if they don't fit I can get a refund on the spot (click and collect)

But I now also really want some Hotter Mystery boots too so am going save for them too 😊

Thanks for all your advice. And Legend Haha I am such an idiot. I started a Morten Harket thread earlier this week which quickly moved onto Mags from Aha too. I think this is where my rather odd link came from Grin

In the past Dune has been amazing, I have had Dune Tiddler for ages, really comfy and warm. Wish they still did them.

I haven't bought Hotter before, could anyone advise on size? If I get a 6.5 or 7 from Dune, a 7 from Boden, would that be a 7 from Hotter normally?

captainpoopants · 25/11/2017 20:27

That would be Dune Tippler not Tiddler, though.
