Cropped Jeans? YES or NO??

I quite fancy some cropped jeans, I think they might look funky and will go with lots of other things on my wardrobe
BUT am a size 12/14
will I look ludicrous?

I've tried on many a pair, but always look as though my trousers just shrunk in the wash. Not a good look IMO.

i have some ancient cropped bootleg ones from gap about 5 years ago which i wear a lot. and i'm bigger than a 12/14......

I don't wear them unless camping as they do make me look hort and dumpy, but that may be because I am short and dumpy.

There are some great ones in gap in 'boy fit'. Supposedly they come up large so the assistant told me to try a size 10 - HA! I bought the 14 (so no one else feel bad if they have the same experience). I am going back for a second pair and will wear them with birks (bronze this year), flip flops, ballet pumps and even wedgie espadrilles.
